The now sadly defunked, 'net TV magazine show - Naked2U, used to do m'cycle reviews. Naked womern rode all kinds of machines for them. From scooters to sports bikes.
I went and did a review on a vintage HD, but it was raining and there was no way I was taling that beautiful (but heavy, cumbersome, stick-shift, mint condition..) machine out on a wet, oily track. Damn shame.

Ah, this thread reminds me of a time, not so long ago. While driving home late at night on the A40, my car lights caught some kind of movement ahead of me on the shoulder of the motorway. I pulled out a bit to miss what ever it was and as I flew past it, I saw a naked man peddling away on a bike.
The next mile was driven in silence with me looking in the rear-view mirror to make sure I had seen what I saw. I even turned off the radio as the following questions flooded my mind.
Did I really see a naked man on a bike?
Blimey, it's cold out!
Did he need help?
Should I stop?
Am I tired?
Should I be driving?
Why is my oil light on?
After convincing myself that I was just tired and in dire need of my bed, I saw another figure on the shoulder of the motorway. I slowed down and sure enough..............................................
It was another naked man, peddling like Hell's fury on a push bike.
I saluted him as I drove past and as I drove home, bathed in the comfort of knowing I wasn't insane.

I have cycled hundreds of miles alone on the canal towpaths in the U. K. and was always nearly naked, the joy iv'e had was exhilarating and mind blowing. I would love to take part in a naked bike ride, but now I am partly disabled and do not know if I can still ride although, I still have my bike, have been considering trying to ride again, if so, I will certainly take part.
As a daily cyclist to work - my one piece of advice would be - choose your saddle VERY Carefully!
Avoid the Gel types as they might initially feell comfy - but after a while in the saddle you'll find your blood vessels leading to your legs and other sensitive bits ( i think you can guess where i'm heading)get starved of blood and your bits will become incredibly numb. I know this is all incredibly boring, and non funny - but i'd definitely look at saddles by specialized - designed for men and women so that your sit bones don't constrict the blood vessels leading to the dangly bits! You'll thank me for it one day - trust me.
as for the naked bit - well all i wear when cycling to work, apart from a helmet - is a pair of lycra leggings and a t shirt - both so thin i'm as close to nekkid as it gets. And yes - it is very liberating.
