Bristol Munch Thank You

2nd time i have been to Bristol, 2nd time i have had a good night
thanks must go to all involved with the organisation, and even though its said that things improve with age, Binxy's Wenglish clearly doesnt, more incoherent as the night went on, there was one particular sentence, the only words i could actually hear was "you slag" - i dont think dare ask what the rest of it was
to the usual suspects, thank you for letting me have some of your time, and apologies for rambling on at you too
of the new people i met, Mallock2006, dont waste your time with No.2's, go for No.1's smile

Blueandpink, nice to meet you, pink, are you over the trauma of being dragged across the pub by Tune Essence to come and say hello?
Firelizard and Stormwalker, was good meeting you, you look like you had a good time, look forward to seeing you again

Pre munch drinks:- It is now official, we are a health and safety issue!!!!!
The hotel:- fire alarm at or so, that is a well known trick to make sure people get up after an hour change!
To the visitors who detoured this way on their way home:- I am glad you phone first! even if to tell me you were outside!! redface

Binxy (great nickname that!) and co-conspirators - thanks very much for a great night. It was great to see some old faces and the rather daunting number of new faces!
Glad to see you still standing (just) at the end of the night too Binxy - well done.
To our handholdees - well done on your first munch! I think it might be an idea to have you hold our hands next time as it appeared you knew more people than we did by the end of the night!
To everyone else at the munch, I apologise heartily for Her's dancing to Whigfield and the Cha Cha slide thing. I'm trying to beat it out of her, but she's a persistant bugger.

What a fabulous munch.
Minxy, you’re a star, a great munch.
So, apart from the bloody fire alarm, just how many churches are there in Bristol, and why oh why do they all have to peel the bloody bells all bloody morning ……….

Thanks to FB for a great pre-much drinkies, although I must learn to reduce the alcohol intake prior to the big event itself.
As usual, so good to catch up with past friends and new ones. No name mentioning as I could just go on and on. That said, I must make special thanks to the doughnut lady, hurry back, you will be missed.
Also to H for putting up with inane blubberings during the first half of the footie.

Still relatively new to the munches but been to a couplsof really good ones lately. Last night was fantastic.
So many thanks to the beautiful Binxy and her helpers.
The afternnon drinks were just great and I got to meet so many lovely people. So thanks FB kiss

It's been said to me that it was one of the best munches for getting around to meet people and I found it really good in that respect. Lovely to meet so many of the people Choon talks about.
Beginning to feel more confident now - so I'm looking forward to the next one. :bounce:

Minx and the team, great location, great crowd, great munch. Mrs tweeky and I had a great time biggrin

Thanks to the usual crowd for the company and as normal great laughs!
To everyone we got to meet from the Bristol chat room so nice to put faces to names after all this time. BTW if anyone ever does find out the historical meaning of the big ship sails on the ally ally ohh please do tell :idea:
Special thanks to Couplefun for being the only people to turn up for the pre munch food and being nice enough to hail us a taxi into town saving precious hours looking for a non existant Indian smile

Sorry to Blue and pink who we were supposed to text about the pre munch food but we got on the bus with a phone with no credit on redface

As some of you know we will be taking a break now to get on with some other stuff. Its been a blast, I am sure we will be back on the social scene one day :twisted:

After reading through the many thanks (which are soo well deserved!) we've realised just how many people we didnt get around to saying Hi to.

It's possible that it originated up North. The Manchester ship canal allowed Manchester to link to the coast and become a shipping port. The Alley O may refer to the Atlantic Ocean. But then again it's a children's rhyme and they are often a bit of nonsense and the origins can be very hard to trace.
