I am wondering if this field on the profile actually has a usefulness? The problem seems to be perception both of the member whos profile it is and then the perception of those viewing it. Some examples
We came witin a whisker of meeting a member from here once who's profile said slim. They actually had some very well taken pictures which sort of backed that up. We then by chance stumbled upon pictures of the same person at another non swinging related website. Slim! In my view large and not just large but large large lol

Thats fine but its not our cup of tea play wise so we made excuses and left it at that. What can you say to that? Maybe they actually think they are slim dunno

Mrs Tweeky fits in size 6-8-10 clothes waists about 26 inch's from memory and she calls herself average or on this site would list herself as medium :shock: to me shes slim :dunno: All comes down to perception.
Would you change the field on this site? Personally I would get rid of medium and change that to average. Would you be happy to list your height and weight in combination? To me that gives a much better idea especially when people try to take the most flattering picture possible or just dont have body shot at all.
Can we improve this for better clarity or do we just live with it the way it is?

maybe..there should be a guide to what slim..medium and large is
We do all have different idea on what is medium I guess.
maybe we could have up to size 12 as slim
size 14 - 18..average
above....large
for men...
up to 30 waist slim
32 to 36..average
above 36 large
just an idea....its a bit like what is WE and what is VWE..and what is average...we all have different ideas I guess

But yeh its a good idea though maybe a tougher sale for the ladies? Think they struggle more in this area than men.

Well, that doesn't really work. How "slim" you look depends on your height as well as your clothing size.
Someone who was a size 12, for example, but was only 3.5 feet tall would probably look quite chubby and not slim at all.
Someone, say, size 18, but approaching 6ft would look really quite slim.
Same applies for mens' sizes.
I think any subjective measure of "build" should be taken with caution. As should photos. Someone genuinely may have gained or lost, say, 2 stone in a few months and their pics a few months apart would look very different - and all genuine.
The obvious advice would be that if you are that hung up on body size/build you need to actually meet the person before making a decision.

The height information is already on the profile so you have the two specifications that you speak of and could make a fairly informed view from that. Yes I do have a "hang up" on size and one on liking longer hair and probably a few others. I really dont get it anyway dunno

if your here to swing then we are going to see it all eventually. Maybe people think that if they can get people to turn up they will get a shag anyway :dunno: not happening here though and would rather avoid the awkward situation of having to meet chat be nice then later message and say no thanks or even say no thanks on the night. We solved the situation for ourselves now anyway we simply dont meet people with unclear pictures though must say the ones mentioned in the opening post were very deceptive or very well done depending on your view point.

Just make everyone submit a doctor's report with height, weight, fat percentage and BMI, and a couple of front and back, full body, knickers only photos so we can see the distribution of lumps and bumps. This would have to be updated every 3 months.

We dont cam ourselves so could hardly ask anyone else too. Our cams we have two are pretty crap when we can go on its late and they dont work very well in artificial light if at all they seem to like the day time. If a size 6/8/10 is average then what the feckin hell is slim?? Anorexic?? I believe that the average size for women in the UK is 14-16. Maybe you should change your profile as some people might not want to play with slim/skinny girls and may think that you are in fact deceiving them? dunno

I agree with what everyone else is saying .... it all depends on the height/weight combination but I don't think many people, especially women would be willing to put that on their profile and if they did many would probably lie!! lol

You are of course right Fun! Its where perception comes in. I am unable to change Mrs Tweekys perception of herself. If though there were a tick box with small size 6-10 medium 12-18 Large 18+ I am sure she would then be happily classed as small as the site has removed the decision from her. Like you say though this has various ramifications and as with anything people will lie. I will and do change the status of our account to slim and Mrs Tweeky will and does change it back to medium again :lol:
Max: We put in plenty of effort! in all respects but the one thing I do not want to do is spend my evenings hanging on the end of a web cam waiting for people to show up. Evenings, shoes off PJ's on TV on. I'll log in here most days anytime up until 7pm and then again around 11pm the in between time is us time and sadly thats when most people want to cam.

I'd like to know why there is always so much emphasis on the woman's figure and yet some guys seem to think that they can just let themselves go and no one will care!! There are lots of profiles where they say that they wont play with a woman over a certain size. They only have pics of the woman in public and when you ask for pics of the guy, he's mahoooooosive!! It works both ways! If I was expected to put my height, weight and clothes size on my profile, I would expect to see a guys height, weight, waist, chest and cock sizes and of course pictures of him!! In the opening post I was careful not to specify gender though obviously from my own view point I look at the woman. Mrs Tweeky will of course look at both when making a decision. Agree a lot of profiles have more pics of the woman ours included but I am careful to put up my most current body shot. During our time on the site I have varied from 10st 6lbs to just under 15st so theres been some variation (now 11st 4lbs for anyone interested lol

) Speaking strictly for myself I am happy to detail anything in our profile. Thinking whilst I type its also fair to say that Mrs Tweeky has also varied during our time on the site though I wont list specifics as this could lead to me needing re constructive surgery. It would be fair for me to say though I have
"No complaints" ......... bolt

So I cant comment much on the Massive blokes, have been bigger but when I was I was always of the couldn't give a fuck school of thinking. Ive only lost weight for long term health benefit, Mrs actually likes me bigger :neutral: I dont think the issue is what size you are the issue is being honest about what size you are. Ive seen the profiles read the shrep and seen the day after pictures and the big people do just as well as everyone else male or female biggrin

i think that is what some peeple do think max.
we have now met one single guy from here about two weeks ago and we knew what he looked like as we had alredy seen him on cam to verify him.
if we did meet either a guy or another cuple and they were not how they described and we did not like the " new " look, there is not a chance of any playing. in fact mrs would be a very angry person and they would not want to see mrs star angry i can tell you.
we have no time for liars here or anywhere else. i hate a liar and on meeting someone we would know straight away if they werew one one of those liars.

In my head it seems pretty easy....just use measurements (I know sizes can be confusing too)
If people fluctuate they can always change them.
If people want guys sizes too then of course what is good for the goose...etc.
I can see loads of adverts coming soon for an official SH Measurer........form a queue behind me, wehey!!

Ohhh, interesting. First of all, Mrs Tweeky wants a slap! I'd class myself medium at a good 2/3 dress sizes above her!
Speaking of, I think i'm guilty of picking photos that show me in a better light (ie make me look slimmer than I am!)
In fairness, we always either cam, send very recent shots or meet socially before we swing so we're not trying to deceive anyone.

Agreed, we all try and take the best picture we can and use the best picture from the ones we have taken. However they do show a true representation of what we look like. The pics in the opening post I refer to made the person in question look a size 12 maybe and they were I am guessing a 20-22. Thats just not my cup of tea.
All the way through the thread we get the "Why dont you cam them or meet socially first" responses. My answer is always the same, why should I have too? Why not just take a decent picture smile

No one begrudges a bit of artistic flair in the pictures but they should at least give a true representation of yourself to my mind anyway. We do always meet socially before play anyway but normally expect to do both the same night to cut down costs, turning up at the bedroom is not our thing. So there is always the opportunity to high tail it lol

Ohh and I do slap Mrs Tweeky fairly often :twisted:
