Hi everyone
My partner and i have been browsing the adds as one does lol, but we are finding a lot of couples looking for bi-couples, where the male in the couple is straight. We are wondering why this is? We ourselves would say that a bi-couple is a where the male and female are both bi, but is that how everyone else sees it? We would like to hear what your views are, or maybe from a couple with a straight male looking for a bi-couple could explain it lol. Thanks.

You still haven't mastered one yet :giggle:
To me a bi couple is where one or other is bi or both are.
When we see bi-couple we immediately look at how the guy classes himself on his profile. Most of the time it does say straight male but not always

to me, "bi couple" would imply that both the male and female were bi.

If the profile was written by the male, it often suggests the female is bi when in reality she isn't.. it's just the male's preference/wish/desire or whatever. wink
As sexkitten said,to us if we see bi-couple it means both partners are bi.
Also weird to us is single male adverts which sometimes say "looking to meet bi woman" why? What can a bi woman do for a man that a straight one can't?

Maybe they will accept a bi OR straight couple - doesn't necessarily mean they will play bi or straight?
Maybe the straight male in the profile is curious, hasn't experienced another male so still considers himself straight?
Maybe like so many straight men, he thinks it's not bi to let another man suck his cock?
Maybe like so many single males who add "gay female" to their "looking for" section, they're just keeping their options open?
Maybe they don't want the bi label on the male 'cos it encourages too much crap mail?
IMO, a bi couple is where both halves of the couple are bi. If it was just the female, then they're a couple with bi-fem.

You really should know this by now! wink

As a single female, I'm looking for a single male, I've added bi-male too, not because I expect him to bring a friend (honestly cool ) but because there may be a really nice guy who's bi and he might rule himself out after looking at my profile because he thinks I'm only looking for straight guys. I just read that back and it kind of makes sense biggrin
As for the couple, I'd expect a bi couple to mean they were both bi, a bi-fem couple would mean only she was and bi-male couple, only he was.
Although I would like to say I dislike the whole pidgeon-holing that goes on.

Makes sense to me too. That`s exactly why I have "single bi-male" on my profile.
Bi couple, to me, would indicate that both are bi.
Thanks everyone for your opinions but we are not sure why a str8 couple would be advertising for a bi-couple, do you also think this is to keep there option's open ? not that we anti bi couple's... just seems odd to us, but each to there own i guess.
Cheers

bi-couple? who really care as long as rules are laid out first, does it really matter if a bi-couple meet a staight couple?if thing progress to bi encounters then fine if not then fine too,,,,,,,,,,its never bothered us how a couple describe themselves as long as theres fun to be had and everyone goes home happy lol but as a general rule "bi-couple" would mean both being bi

Actually it does matter to some.. Including me, sorry! May seem hard to grasp but I feel uncomfortable playing when I know the male half is Bi.. The way the eyes are following me looking at my fookin kidneys while i'm being Mr stud muffin lol.. Nope.. sorry, makes me uneasy just the way it is.
And I get really cheesed off when we meet a couple with a straight male just to find he's not so straight after all... Just sort of slips it into conversation he would try it etc.. I mean WHY?? Be bloody honest.. this has happened to us a few times and always results in ending the friendship.. Not for being Bi but for lying!!
And Just so you know before you slate me for it.. One of my best friends who also was my best man Is Bi and proud.. I have no issue with.. I just don't fancy it myself.. and nor does mrs mdr fancy playing with a Bi male either!! Nothing personal.. just a preference.

to us
bi couple = both male and female is bi
bi female couple = guy straight, female bi
bi male couple = female straight, male bi
Might be wrong to some but its how we look at it as biggrin

  that sums up bi couple for us to
We agree with Shaz and Tony also, wonder if this could be adopted as an offical SH definition? That would clear up all confusion.
