if you go to the main forum index, it gives you a list of users online at the moment.
The ones in green and purple are the mods and chat ops (can't remember which is which but it tells you at the bottom)
Anyway, if you click the name of one of them it should allow you to send them a message straight away.
If there aren;t any names in colour it means there are none online in the forum at the mo, you could try sending a message to one you know the name of instead?

Sure redhot answered it all, but in the profile there is a button you can click that says 'pm' which allows you to send a personal message to anyone
