My profile is, as ever, very specific (it even tells you not to continue reading if you can't be arsed! i can't say fairer than that!) but still they ignore it or, as frequently happens, because they don't fit my preferences they actually get very abusive towards me.
It's not just single guys. Just last night a couple nagged and bugged me to death in a chatroom. I had stated very clearly that i am not interested in meeting couples, or one half of a couple, or that particular couple - but still they persisted and then got quite abusive towards me and other room members when we told them to back off.
I believe they were given a ban in the end.
Earlier on in the evening, another couple commented on my profile that "it wouldn't be so bad if you were good looking". Wft? I really don't know where people get off talking to others like that.
Some people are just like that. I don't intend to tolerate them any more than i would if it was a "real life" situation and neither should anyone else, but you do have to appreciate that it will still happen, regardless.
I'll be honest, if i was in the street or in the pub and someone spoke to me the way some people do on this site, I'd knock their feckin teeth down their throat. I have no problem reporting abuse or anyone breaking site AUP.
As for winks, one liners and general unwanted crap .. just delete and ignore - it's part of the site, unfortunately.

On a more serious note though .. this "ladylike" thing ... because i am very straight-talking, no bullshit, get to the point, take no prisoners, doesn't suffer fools gladly etc etc .. with some people in chat, there is an assumption that i am some butch man-hating bitch.
I'm not the type to be all giggly and pathetic, it's true ... I've seen women simpering and admitting to being "blonde" or the like and yes, the blokes love it but frankly it makes ,my stomach turn. Each to their own, i guess.
What a lot of people don't seem to relaise is that I've been on this site several years, I've used the chatroom for the length of that time and I'd say that I've pretty much seen and heard it all. My profile used to be quite opena nd friendly but it encouraged such complete and utter arses to give me major grief that it has now evolved into something more specific and allegedly "aggressive".
So, basically, the type of people that give me shit for my profile are the type of people that made it what it is.
Anyway, I still get what i want out of it - I suppose to some extent, you do have to take the rough with the smooth.
Donna - if anyoen calls you names or is abusive, take note of the room name and server, the time, their offenders username and resport them asap. Why should anyone treat another person like that?

Even I as a single male get uninvited PM's, although I tend to ignore them.
Rule of thumb is never accept any behaviour you wouldnt accept out there in real life!
And as many have said - make a note of the room/server and the approximate time to report it to aN Op or admin who will sort it out for you.

its not just single men who 'cant read' as you put it, im the female half of a couple and as my profile says we meet as a couple and both alone but i ONLY meet single guys as a single fem yet i still get countless PMs and whispers from couples asking if i will meet them for a FFM so u cant just label single guys for doing this

ive been here quite some time and in the sceen for years, you see them come and go and get tired of the same shit different member lol
not all members are like that and those that are bothered see what my profile is really about and are cool and fun,
those that dont get it... well neither lost out as were obv not on same wave length.

only last night i was told i was "up myself" by one bloke and another left the room only to come back and say "oh its still here is it...." all because id had the audacity to say i wasnt interested in them. how very dare i rolleyes

Out of intrest, as a 'single' male who can read, is the problem with single males replying period, or just replying wanting a meet/shag whatever. I ask this, as on a number of occassions i have come across a profile where i would like to pm the member over something that has caught my attention in their profile, be it to compliment their photos or to reply to something profound they have written. However, said profile screams out in block capitals No Single Males, sometimes more than once. To date, i have shied away from replying, but this is the point of all this rambling, is replying in the non sexual sense acceptable?

Our profile says we meet couples only, but we are both more than happy to chat to single men and/or women provided there is respect either way. In SH land, NO means NO and it shouldn't need to be repeated :thumbup:

I have no problem with some men that chat in the room i have chatted to lots of single men as long as they show that they were brought up and not dragged up. no one cpls or women want to have a whisper 'get your tits out' or details of what he or they want to do with u im sorry that i asked can single men read i should have ask 'can everyone read' :doh: because as everyone has said yes some cpls can be as bad as a male when i was a single girl i had one cpl that would not leave me alone but i just wish people would take not that manners cost nothing and having a chat in a repectful way will get to laid more then saying get your tits out or i want to fuck u. that goes for single men and cpls :moon:

Just throwing my twopence in folks.
As Donna has so rightly said manners count for a lot in life, if you have them whether you're single married or whatever you will find that people get on better when they are used.
Treat others like you would treat yourself and you will get on better, if people abuse you try and not go down to their level but try and rise above them and educate them in the right way to behave, it's not always easy to do that but sometimes it's fun to try. rolleyes

i know what ur getting at with this dizz, its the reason we stopped playing on cam. u can only ask someone to stop whispering or directing so many times before it gets annoying, and sometimes the abuse you get back isnt worth it. we have set up our own no directing/whispering rooms, been polite to the idiots etc but it seems to get you no where with some ppl and sometimes ignoring them doesnt work as they'll come bug u in chat anyway (i do miss having an ignore button in chat sad

).

with a bit of luck they'll get their own "pet stalker" one day and know what its like. karma's a bitch :twisted:

Well at least i no next time im on cam 1. i open my own room 2. i have a pen and paper at the ready to take notes of all the arse holes ( cpl and singles ) 3. make sure i report them. ok have i missed any thing lol
