can some please tell me if it is abig deal with people that someone choose to cover there face in pic for this site when posting pics on the ad.
As I just received a PM from another member saying that I shoudn't put my pic on my ad, so please have a look at my ad and let me know what you think, I know it's not the best but I am still new to the site redface

I just don't see what there prob is with what Pictures I put up, after all the choice is mine, isn't it confused

well to be really honest the pics that go with ure ad dont hide much,so dont see why u blanked out part of ure face,if u dont want to be recognised then dont put a facial pic in,but what u got to remember is that most ppl on this site are here because of the lifestyle that we like........so if someone recognises you then nothing to worry about really cause they got the same attitudes as we all do here....what they gonna say....i seen pics of mr/mrs somebody on SH.............oh i dont think so lol

Though there are certain jobs where it wouldn't be the done thing to be seen on a site like this. ie being a schoolteacher

Your ad looks fine to me - I would be more likely to answer an ad like that which gives a good idea of what you look like. biggrin

But I agree that it can't be done by some of us who would be in danger of losing our jobs if the bosses found out (teacher here too) redface

Don't forget though, mr&mrs - the ads can be viewed by non-members of the site. If the anon email feature isn't used, they can even answer by email.
One other small thing to consider is "exposure by association" You never know quite who knows who.

Seriously - what Dammie said - but I see you've used the anonymous e-mail feature so there's nto too much risk. Your choice where to pitch it in the risk/opportunity spectrum - there's no rule (yet).

I probably would have not minded if I had chatted or contacted them and they where just offering some advice. but to send me an pm telling me what I should & shouldn't do made me mad

but I will update my photo ad as time goes & feel more part of the community.

I don't advertise. I do sometimes display pictures here. I don't ever try to disuguise my appearance.
Each to his own. Whatever you are comfortable with.
