We flicked through the channels last night, as you do when theres nothing on tv and saw some of my favourite cartoons as a kid. There was button moon and bagpuss. I was surprised that they are still going. Who remembers Dungeons and Dragons, Count Duckula and Dangermouse? What were your favourite cartoons.
Tom & Jerry :giggle:
Road Runner
Wylie Coyote was hilarious biggrin
Tom and Jerry is still shown too. Oh, and i forgot Scooby doo.

Always had a soft spot for Bagpuss too and the Clangers but do they count as cartoons? dunno
Hi Sassy, what are the clangers? never heard of them.
I used to love Dungeons and dragons....did they ever get home?
I think I had grown too old to watch it at that point ,,but I will always wonder

Hi tina, i dont think they ever did. Did Elma Fudd ever get bugs bunny? Did Tom ever do any real harm to Jerry? I think they are made for you to always wonder.
Ah, the clangers, the soup dragon with blue string soup and those little orange things that bounced up and down.

Thanks sassy, But i dont remember them. Dont you find that you still get mesmerised by the old cartoons. I get so engrosed when the kids have them on.
My late Dad loved to watch Tom & Jerry right into his 70s and still giggled like a child at them :giggle:
I do remember fondly the Banana Splits days.
If I mentioned the words "Rozanne Kabar", would that mean anything to you rolleyes

Although I have wonderful memories of bygone cartoons, my favorite just has to be Pinky and the Brain.
Although possibly from the new genre of cartoons it cracks me up like no cartoon ever has before.
biggrin :D :D

Wacky Races that's the one I was thinking of, thanks Louise_and_Joe

Your very welcome
but is it the original Tom and Jerry? You know, the one the liberalists and other do-gooders killed off because it was too violent!!

It has to be pre-PC, mega violent Hanna Barbara Tom & Jerry. The rest are just shite

Errrrr
Wacky Races never had a pigeon.
Catch the Pigeon starring Dastardly and Muttley featering the Vulture Squandron, did however have a pigeon in it (oddly enough)
The cartoon also went under the guise of Dastardly & Muttley In Their Flying Machines
What about the Flumps?? :bounce:
Did no one else love a good Flump?
Pootle, Posie and Perkin
aw
