If you drop a cat, according to legend it should land on its feet. If you drop toast it should land butter side down. What happens if you strap a slice of toast to a cat's back butter side up? Which way will it fall? Will it cause a huge tear in the space time continuem and all of the universe collapse. Or will someone just get alot of hairy toast?

thats an easy answer the cat being the noblest of all creatures will probably just turn round & scratch your face

as the cat fall the gravity will take hold of the toast turning it so it is no longer attached to the cat's back but is now somewhere around the belly area which will touch the ground when the cat lands. Therefore I conclude that all you will get is super hairy toast or a very very scratched arm, leg, face or any other open flesh the cat can get to, from trying to attach the toast to the poor beast in the first place.
