Could name drop here lol... ok I will then!
All have been in our shop.. usually more than once.
Mandy smith (Rolling Stones fame)
Rick Astley (Yeah ok lol)
Ian Beele (whatsits face east enders)
Kenneth Clarke MP (regular as clockwork)
Anita Dobson (Yep Telly again)
A few news presenters (Central and BBC)
Many of the ex Gladiators..
Theres more but who really cares lol.... They are only people all the same as you and I...
Mike x
Kevin Webster (Coronation Street) in the toilets at a pub in Altrincham. What a miserable sod he was.
Ive met a good few over the years...mainly to do with work. Some great, some not so great to meet....
Tony Robinson (lives round here) and he hates having Blackadder mentioned, in fact his agent tells you not to mention it at all or he refuses to do any charity work (thats why we contacted him).
Queen, P. Charles, P. Anne an other *suits* all visited area where I worked..I find it more disruptive than anything and cant be fussed with it all so normally locked myself away in the office).
The one I was most in awe of was Cary Grant. I was about 15 walking home and this massive car pulled up. Window is wound down an this fella asks for directions to a little known street. Turned out he was doing a tour of his old hunting grounds of where he grew up.
An the best of all was Morecombe and Wise...... should have been back in school but went walkabout with mates and found them both opening a shopping centre. We spent hours chatting away and having a laugh with them both...and they didnt mind a bunch of school gals wittering on one bit, Brilliant!!

Back in the 90s when I was still a motorcyclist, I popped into a local bike shop for an MOT or something, and there was Pat Sharp chewing the fat with the owner. I looked at Pat, he looked at me, and I relalised who he was, then there was that aukward look from the celeb when they know you know who they are... But boy, he did look plain without his make up!

Spotted Lesley from Big Brother 6 in the local shopping centre not long ago.

I wasn't going to mention my "celebrity" as she is on the Z list but after Mike mentioning Lesley I though what the hell as they are on par!
When I was in The Brownies!!! Back in the day, I won a raffle and I went onto the stage to collect my prize from Grot Bags. I assume no-one's heard of her. She was in the Rod Hull and Emu thing, where many annoying kids from stage school pranced about singing "there's somebody at the door"
Beat that! lol.
And yes I'm new. rolleyes

Its a small world sometimes Konya lol  Can I just say, if it was...you were very welcome to him and my MIL :giggle:
In chronological order (ish)
Geoff Capes when he opened a supermarket near me- I was only a small child but I remember him being so horrible to me I left in tears. To this day I still want to punch the bloke.
Lionel Blair when I was about 16, and as the girls I was with ran up to ask for his autograph, I discretely walked away...
Joanna Lumley stood in for one of my kids at a local event.
We live very rurally, and to see anyone out walking is a novelty. When it's Nigel Havers- and you do a double take, it's lucky he didn't get run over redface
The oddest was Dermot O'leary. He came on board the ship I crew and as I took his ticket I had an "I know you" moment, but kept stum. The shades were not much of a disguise! He was on for a couple of hours, and I didn't want to attract attention to the guy, but was really itching to know if it was definately him. Asking the crew members was a waste of space as they never see a telly. I waited until he was leaving and pointed him out to a 14 year old girl, who confirmed it was him- and almost wet herself lol
Actually, I've never been that fussed about the guy, but it has to be said he's quite cute in the flesh!
Mini Hijack-
Alidar, I love your boots! Where did you get them? (lets hope you have a better memory for footwear than names
lol)
......Hijack over

My list would be far too long to type. cool

Same, for various reasons..
Roy Woods of Wizard shops regularly in the local supermarket
The colour of the hair / beard changes weekly so no mistaking him
Cant be too sure I`m right but I swear Dale Winton was just in front of me when I walked into Hamleys toy shop in London. He was wearing a real quality overcoat and there was definatly some eye make-up on him.
I used to see Donna Air most saturdays in Newcastle when she was in Biker Grove - gave her a light for her cigarette once.
Used to see Gazza and Five Bellies playing Bingo with Gazza's mam.
Saw Peter Beadsley at the Odeon in Newcastle.
Went clubbing in the Nightclub that was popular with the Newcastle players on Newcastle's Quayside - but I never recognised most of them, even when they were pointed out lol
Les x
A few in the 'wrong' places  but one i can mention was Russel brand at the London Fetish Fair .....fitted in a treat lol
Phill Jupitus regularly at Waitrose (used to shop at Tesco Pitsea, he obviously went upmarket)
And after knocking on a squash court door coz the people in it were over their time, when the door opened i came face to face with Suzie Quatro and hubby

Welcome to the forum Konya. Not sure you've out Z-listed me though! Grot Bags seems much more popular here than Lesley. lol
I just looked at the thread title again, and just cannot believe I missed the chance to say;
Yes, today I saw a Tescos, but even more impressively last week I spotted a small, independant shop!

My aunty & uncle were the caddy master/mistress at a golf club in wimbledon & during wimbledon fortnight you used to get the players up there we used to have Ivan lendal pop his head round the door say hallo & ask for a caddy cart lol
Also after a heavy drinking session in wimbledon oliver reed was asleep on my aunties sofa surprised he'd come back with my uncle another piss head sad but he left his spare clothes behind so she gave them to the charity shop (well b4 e-bay & selling stuff)
I've kissed Lewis Collins, Martin Shaw, and Dennis Waterman.
Last year saw the actress who plays Sarah Lou in Coronation St on Deansgate(I was on my way to the Rocky Horror Show, dressed as a french maid at the time!!!!)
Shook hands with Russell Grant this week after seeing Rocky Horror Show, again
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I saw the skinny one from the Chuckle Brothers in my hometown of darlington (u never ever see famous people there!) and I saw Anthony Hutton from Big Brother filling up his black 4x4 at a petrol station in Gateshead. I was so starstruck!! When I got onto the motorway, I even kept an eye out for him - yeah, like my little 1.2 8v car would keep up to the beast of a 4x4 he had rolleyes
redface surprisedops:
