taking my inspiration from the other "what ever happened to" thread. last week I went to see Paul Young the singer who was in the charts in the eighties. he now plays in pubs and clubs with a band playing a sort of mexican music.
so do you know, live next too, work with a former celeb???????????????
not really, but me and a few mates are going to see 80s band 'the alarm' on saturday in a local pub for a tenner.
only about 40 people there so should be great.
I used to live next door to Eddie Large aka one half of Llittle and Large. I thought i was strange but by jingo he was from another planet.
Friend of mine used to go out with a skinny blonde actess, of whom he was VERY proud.
But she ran off and got married to someone else.
Eddie Large........
Bit like that bloke who found his Missus had been shagging a Chuckle Brother.
As a DJ Ive worked with a few people, Edwin Starr, The Drifters, OMD and a few other singers and bands.
Oh and I know The Searchers, used to go to school with a there sons.
Sheena Easton`s aunt used to call to the house when i was young, as a kid i was also friends with a girl called Kathryn who went on to star in numerous tv programmes including Angels and who was the partner of the late Richard Whitely.
oooooooooooooo the alarm......i used to love them......where are they playing at????
68 guns....

i was famous at 1 time round here when i worked security at a club and hoofed alex (hurricane) higgins out for grabbing a bar girl by the boobs.....
he didnt really say much and i was dissapointed he didnt challenge me to a frame or 2 on the green baize.........
was once in the loo...and next to me having a pee was Martin Kemp from Spandu ballet.

I once worked on the bins in N. Wales, believe it or not as a binman. Harry webb ring a bell, well i'll tell you CLIFF RICHARD, Sir Cliff Richard now. I used to empty his bins (claim to fame) he has a house up a posh avenue in Deganwy, N, Wales. I also met Harvey Smith (showjumper) at a Yorkshire showjumping event when i was 9 & i was on TV.
:taz:
I had a pee next to Roy Walker of catchphrase at Pontins. I was gonna say "Say what you see" but lost my bottle and just smiled.
if we are talking about standing next to someone whilst peeing...the vinnie jones is my claime to fame on that account, he was racing his dog at brighton greyhound stadium.
my mate took a look down and said... "is that i", he got one really dirty look from vinnie, and then vinnie laughed. really pleasant bloke though, even guve us a few tips on the night, and they came in, including his own dog.
