just wondering
does any body out there fell that if they let the town where they lived for say 10 years
when they came back they would not be able to find there way around
i know there can be subtle changes but some towns have had radical changes
just take wigan for instance

its like that for me in leicester. and ive not even moved confused
Nope... never thought that.
Then last week, we went to Newport, Gwent, and I didn't have a clue. I don't think it has changed, I believe it is very forgetable.
I lived there from '81 for 3 or 4 years.
Nottingham is a bit like that, I have lived here all my life, but with the influx of city centre flats, trams, refurbished old buildings and new developments, the look of the place changes and the things you used to use to get your bearings are no longer there.
But we still have George the Lion, so thats ok wink

No thank you lol
i went to wigan once. ......it was shut confused lol
They had no choice but to shut Wigan.. they 've dug up all the roads and posted traffic lights on duty so that you can't get in!
I went back to the town where I grew up in till we moved over here and it has changed beyond all recognotion, all the buildings I associated with my childhood were gone - it was quite sad really
Ive lived in Nottingham since i was 7 but drove thro the centre last week .. first time for ages I got lost ! with all the no entry etc.
Milton Keynes keeps changing, one week there is a green field as you drive in, the next week there is a factory or similar there, and the houses are going up at a huge rate.
(and yes some of us do have to live near there)
sad
I'm upset now wondering where your butterfly will play when all the green fields have gone?

Drove through ? You survived the Trams, Pedestrian Areas and Traffic wardens ?
You deserve a medal lol
I work in the City Centre, only buses for me lol, let someone else risk driving through here wink
When i left London....it was a shithole.....came back.....guess what..it's still a shithole!!
cool Well thats made me happier, enough badness in the world without cruelty to innocent butterflies. Although - keeping the poor bugger captive in Milton Keynes, does that not qualify as cruelty?
Sorry to share, but...
Every time I see trhe title of this thread, I get a beautiful old Black Sabbath song, in my head.
Ok, as you were.
Hey Vix

OMG, yeah! I forgot that. The new one was SHITE!!
Well it was certainly less than beautiful. His voice was still powerful though, given his drug raddled past.
