i will probably get locked on this one,but i have to say after a "rest" and various other upheavals away from this site.i have returned and i'm finding it very unfamiliar and preferred it in the "old days".
do others feel it's improved or changed not for the better.
if you are used to a certain style and way of doing things then of course a change is not going to feel familiar. But change is good sometimes it keeps you on your toes stops you going stale, is'nt that why people use this site to keep things alive maybe. cool
never met you but welcome back.
didn't i say i returned !! confused still finding my way around..but as you say it's unfamiliar if you've been away.....oh i'll get used to it!!

Some questionable changes, but on the whole I think the changes have been an improvement. If you're staying, you'll just have to grin and bear it.
i'm grinning and i'm bearing....as for my old account!who knows, perhaps you could tell me.I think i probably cancelled it or deleted it or had it for breakfast or something rolleyes

There is absolutely no reason for this thread to be locked -yet!
I recently returned to a town I used to live in and found the VERY same thing. It was unfamiliar to me and I much preferred it in the 'old days'. Time moves things and places and people on.
I look in the mirror each morning and see an unfamiliar face staring back at me - I MUCH prefer the 'old days' when I saw a young, fresh face staring back at me.
What to do?? dunno :dunno: Nothing I can do about any of these things. Acceptance is the privilege you should award yourself.
cool

But still a cute sexy face,
I used to think I was one of those people that's quite good at adapting to lately I've found some changes hard to get used to. Guess it must be my age,I never thought I'd reach the grumpy old man stage smile

But you only joined yesterday?

Big Paul was a member a few months back but went away for a while.
Why do you think it's changed then BP? looks wise? It took us all a while to get used to new look, now it's just the norm.

After being Internetless for verying reasons over the last few months, I felt that the site had changed a lot too (not just the way it looked) But I just thought that rather than the site having to adapt to suit me, I would have to adapt to the site. It's working so far wink
I would be interested to see the stats for people using the forum before it changed and then after the face lift.

here? it's a public site dunno
Nope....i saw it somewhere else first....not a million miles away from here!....someone who has hard-on for SH.
Once you get the hang of knowing all the postcodes in the UK the site is a great improvement!!
Location should be a compulsory field to fill in as "Unknown/private" is of no use to anyone - even if you put a nearby postcode there should be a location on every profile

If all SH users had the Alexa toolbar installed then it would look a lot different, at best Alexa shows an unknown subset, I look at the server stats every day and they have no correlation with the Alexa stats at all.
