Did you pvt without asking first?
I've never been banned but I'm fairly sure they tell you in a pvt why you're being banned.....
Also, from what I understand, if you're in a certain room you can get kicked out if you're inactive for a while.....
Wait until a Mod comes online and then ask him/her....there is a list of members online when you go to the SH Forum Index and that will tell you if there are any Mods around....

You can get kicked for being idle, but our software shows us if someone is in a PM and therefore we wont kick them if they are..... Wouldn't want to spoil anyone's chances now would we??....

it wasn't unauthorised PMing. I was having a chat with someone who wanted to PM. I presume it may be for udleing in the main chat room. Thanks guys.
And like I said.... Our software shows us if someone is in PM or not..... A kick for idling is if you have not spoken in either the main room or a PM for a certain amount of time.
And I can only assume that as you have been into the chat room several times tonight its all fixed now...

well first of all, do you get as far as the screen that asks for your username and password?
if you don't then could be cause you have no JavaVM installed on the laptop. It was from when Windows wern't allowed to install their copy of MSJVM with Windows. You need to get hold of a copy of Microsoft's Virtual Java Machine from somewhere. It won't be on offical dowload cause MS arn't allowed to distribute it anymore. But someone will be serving it on a website somewhere.
if this ain't the problem and you can put in your username and password but it just won't connect (says... Connecting... butdoesn't)... oooh where to start there??
could be a firewall or the way your laptop connects to the internet. how does it connect? via your PC? via shared broadband?
i know this mumbo jumbo proabbly ain't too much help to you, but you need to talk to your computer and give me a little more detail from it. i'm sure you should continue to rub it though... all computers like that.
