I just found out why they call it a chat room - they made me chat in there!!!!!!
I couldn't get in at first but once I typed:
/join #SwingingHeaven and gave the bouncers a tenner there was no problem!! lol :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

For the 3rd time in the past 2 weeks I can't get into the chatroom either.
I can't connect to StarChat at all sad
Haven't been able to for the last hour and I do think I am doing it right lol

try typing /join #swingingheaven
If that doesnt get u in try joining our help channel ( /join #shhelp )

ok when joining pls make sure that not only have u registered a nick but also that u have identified before otherwise it wont let u in. The command is /ns id password
IE: /ns id cobra
Then type /join #swingingheaven

Jags I have asked one of the OP's, Stuart, to mention to Steveg or lips that I have been having problems getting in. Others have also mentioned a problem that seems to come and go.
I've been trying for 30 minutes now, I guess I'll give up on it again rolleyes

Well for once I can also say that I can't get into the chat room.
(Waits for the sarcasm from Mark about the quality of the ops) lol.
Tried several computers on our network and even then it took around 1 hour for me to connect. Eventually, when I was in the chat room, Dawn (who uses the same LAN) could not get in. Expalin that !
This is exactly the same problem encountered by some friends of ours the other night. The only common point seems to be we all seem to be using the same internet provider.

Getting in at all suggests that it isn't a ban on your ISP. When you say that you couldn't connect was it the Starchat server that you couldn't connect to or was it the chatroom? There have been several times recently where It's taken me three or four attempts to connect to the Starchat server but once I'm on the server I haven't had a problem getting into the chatroom.

Steve I have problems connecting to the StarChat server. One day this week I was unable to connect at all, Java or mIRC. I have left mIRC trying to connect for 30 minutes at a time dunno Once on the server I have no problem getting into the Swinging Heaven chatroom
