chatroom tw@ts

Well, that was an experience and not a good one. :fuckinghell:
Just popped in chatroom, haven't used it much recently. Has it turned into a place for slagging peeps off? :boxing:
When we first joined SH the chatroom was a place to relax and join in the conversation. :happy:
Think we will stick to the forum where it is a slower pace for us oldies to keep up with wink

We've tried to use the chatroom, usually have to get Ken to log me in (blonde moments), but all I seem to get is a pleasant start- then the 'what are you wearing--' questions- I find if off-putting to say the least, there seems to be a lot of saddos that use it for a quick tug while the Mrs is out-??

Seriously, you can avoid the chatroom tw@ts by using the ignore command.... If there's someone who's annoying you, type
/ignore twatsusername
and you won't see anything they type again. If they try to pvt you, it won't work....
It has the added benefit of making the rest of the room slow down too lol

We ourselfs have actually stopped using the chat room because of the many tw@ts in there. I appreciate that yes on the whole the mods in there do a good job but even the newest of members and others can spot the abusers and idiots that frequent the chat room, but have often been told by the mods that they can do little about this unless they have definite proof of things like abuse or uninvited pm's etc.
We often notice , and again have had this pointed out that many of these are in actual fact minors, given away by their manner, attitude and times that this seems to happen i.e. When no mods are in ,when schools are out, albeit after 3pm or on weekends and school holidays. Sorry but we feel this is sooooooooo obvious that my bloody dog if he could read would be able to spot it but feel that the mods, because of the "need for absolute proof" have their hands tied on this and are just there to , as their name sugests, moderate the chat room for what it is.
This is a real shame as once again what was a good chat room has become so popular that unfortunatly the Tw@ts have found it knowing that most of the time , yes they will get away with it.

I can get into the chatroom no problem at all but the most I have ever said is "Hello room" everything moves tooooo fast for me in there! dunno

In every walk of life you'll get twats and to be honest there's no point in wasting your time worrying about them.I use the chat room,not that i get the time to follow it that often these days,and yes there is some twats in there,but i ignore them.
The people in there that are great fun and a laugh are worth putting up with occasional twat for!

I agree with a lot of these replies - it's way too fast to keep up and even when you do try to start a conversation, any replies you might get are lost in a tidal wave of texts - the advantage of this forum is you can take things at your own speed and actually have time to formulate your thoughts first!
