I am a swinger.
I have also "performed" on cam - twice to be exact!
I just wanted to add that there are some real vutures in the chat rooms- but some lovely, kind folk too!
I gave it a try to boost my confidence with a view to perhaps going to a party- which I think its done. This afternoon, whilst waiting in for a delivery I put on a "show". I've just started to join in the chat rooms and was horrified at some of the comments being made. There does appear to be a lack of respect from some people.
Where however do we draw the Line ?.
There are always going to be people who ruin it for the rest. Best bet is to just ignore them and not rise to it.

The other nite... i went on cam... coz a few of my friends where on in the same room... I chose not to show my face.... Personally, I've always taken the point of view that you talk to someone on a board or in a chatroom the same as if you were standing next to them.

We do have some excellent places to go if we dont like it here, but some of us still think that this place as a future. There have been some really fantastic new people joining this site since the changes and there have been some complete tossers, but we always had tossers, its just that we got a few more all at once!
I do agree about the directing side of things, it makes me uncomfortable and I usually leave any room where this is happening. Perhaps if they limited cams just to certain rooms it might make it more like a chat room again.
Personally I really dont like cams (which is a bit odd when I enjoy being watched when I go out dogging, but Ive always been a bit odd) but surely if the couple/single on the cam wanted directing they would ask what people want to see? Or am I being too simplistic?

I do tend to also try to help the newbies in the room in fact i find myself doing more typing to help people out than anything else.
I never stand by and let anyone get insulted in anyway either male or female.

As a "non-new member" I have lived through the changes on SH. Having never been able to work out how to get in to the chatroom, I've found it a lot easier now although a bit disturbing the way some of the blokes talk to the girls who are kind enough to do all the showing.
I'm glad it's not the norm 'cause that kind of behaviour would undoubtedly be jumped on in the forum by members and not left to the mods and ops to sort out. Members have to take some responsibility for the moderation of the site after all!!
I think SH does have a future, changed from the way it used to be, but nothing ever stays the same.....it would just go stale.
I only hope that those members willing to put the effort into the site get as much from it as some of the "non-new members" have over the last few years!!

I don’t think that’s wholly what Blonde was suggesting. dunno If someone’s giving you abuse, of course you should be offended etc etc……but, you are going to get the explicit remarks, just as you would have interest from others in a club etc, but I think what Blonde is saying, and certainly I am, is that there is a distinction between what is ‘swinging’ and what is ‘camming’ – and put very simply, ‘camming’ is not swinging – whether you’re a ‘swinger’ or not. The only exception to this is if you are in a private chat eg on MSN – that’s just the way I see it. I dunno about Blonde/ anyone else.

Cant disagree there. But I do feel that as genuine as some people may be who show on cam, you also have to remember that in the main, you’re not showing to swingers. There is, or was, a division between the two. In the ‘olden days’ :roll: lol , the forums, the ads and the dogging section were like little entities in their own right. That has now changed – as has the chatroom. Most forum users also used to use the chatroom, but since it changed to a cam room there are very very few of the old regulars who use it – and IMHO this is simply because ‘we’ are swingers, ‘we’ are not cammers. Some swingers will play on cam – and that’s up to them, and fair play. But – and remember, this is just my opinion – when you’re playing on cam to a chatroom full of people you cant see, its not swinging. I hope that makes sense!

As much as I would love to agree, and believe me, there’s nothing I’d like more than to see SH back on track, and not a sex site – it’s really not up to us. It’s a commercial site now, and the one’s who have the power are the one’s who are taking the money. It is they who bought these changes, and they who continue to do so. I recognise that in this respect, those who 'stayed behind' to see if SH has a future (with us in it) are perhaps fighting a losing battle.

As a "non-new member" I have lived through the changes on SH. Having never been able to work out how to get in to the chatroom, I've found it a lot easier now although a bit disturbing the way some of the blokes talk to the girls who are kind enough to do all the showing.
I'm glad it's not the norm 'cause that kind of behaviour would undoubtedly be jumped on in the forum by members and not left to the mods and ops to sort out. Members have to take some responsibility for the moderation of the site after all!!
I think SH does have a future, changed from the way it used to be, but nothing ever stays the same.....it would just go stale.
I only hope that those members willing to put the effort into the site get as much from it as some of the "non-new members" have over the last few years!!

There is, or was, a division between the two. In the ‘olden days’ :roll: lol , the forums, the ads and the dogging section were like little entities in their own right. That has now changed – as has the chatroom. Most forum users also used to use the chatroom, but since it changed to a cam room there are very very few of the old regulars who use it – and IMHO this is simply because ‘we’ are swingers, ‘we’ are not cammers. Some swingers will play on cam – and that’s up to them, and fair play. But – and remember, this is just my opinion – when you’re playing on cam to a chatroom full of people you cant see, its not swinging. I hope that makes sense!
