Oi! I may have blonde hair and blue eyes but my Dad is Italian! If a defender ever goes to ground in the penalty area in front of a player it's bound to end in a penalty being awarded. I agree that the Italians made more of it than needed but if the Aussie hadn't of gone to ground the Italian couldn't of 'tripped' over him!
Think of it this way - if that had been an England who were 'blocked/obstructed' would we have wanted a penalty? I think the answer is yes! smile
