Sorry, for legal reasons you can't discuss the use of illegal drugs on the forum. Poppers however are legal. I don't use them myself but I don't mind people using them if that's what they like.... their brain cells that die, not mine

I used to use poppers and still do sometimes when go clubbing, but i dont see the benefit of using them in this context?
A bit of background on poppers.. They have been around for many years (i dunno how many just lots) They were introduced as an effecitve treatment against angina, as they thin the blood, the term 'poppers' comes from the fact that when prescribed they came in small capsules, enough for one dose, that had to be popped to release the vapour, contrary to popular beleif that they pop brain cells, the head feeling is simply due to a rush of thinned out blood to the brain, excellent safe short term high when your surrounded by 10,000 people dancing at creamfield, not so excellent if your the only one who has brought them to a meet

As well as a trust issue, there is also the issue of consent. To consent legally someone has to have full use of their mental faculties. If someone is so off their face, I feel uncomfortable cos I've no idea whether they are consenting or not. That is the same whether it's a stranger or someone I know very well. I don't think the heavy use of drugs or alcohol is useful in swinging. To be honest, I've seen people heavily off their faces swinging on a few occassions and I did not get involved. On one occassion I left, it was gross to watch. Mild use of alcohol or whatever I guess is different, but we all have different limits.

I've only "used" poppers once in a nightclub scenario. Great high which lasted for about 3 seconds before I came crashing down with avery depressed bump.
Definately NOT my club drug of choice.

As for someone swinging whilst using "something", I'd seriously wonder why they had to get in that state, to be there in the first place.
That includes alcohol.

They are a muscle relaxant - increase blood flow by relaxing muscular walls of arteries. The also relax sphincter muscles - hence their use in the sex scene.
Trying not to cross the line with this difficult subject:
When I was younger I used all sorts of chemicals including poppers, often all at the same time. Now a bit older I can say that there is no way any chemicals will enhance your experiences in a sexual way (or perhaps in any way for that matter)
If you want to lose inhibitions etc everyone's mind is strong enough to do it without any assistance from chemicals

Personally on the occasion's we have 'swung' a few drinks were all that was necessary - apart from the time we hosted our first party, we were so nervous we had loads!!
In fact I had too much!!!
However there are other times when we absolutely love getting down to it when off our faces and this had included 3sums (albeit with a young lady that was very very familiar to us).
I think its just horses for course's, each to his/her own etc etc.
