Oh, and Ian Botham.
As the daughter of a Yorkshireman, living in Somerset, cricket was always gonna be in my life.
But living in Taunton where SCC were 'home', in the 1970's, when cricket was popular, Ian Botham walked out to the crease for England and seemed unstoppable.
I used to love watching Count Duckula (vegetarian vampire duck....still makes me chuckle!!).....Dangermouse was ace but I preferred Penfold to the mainman!! (or is that mouse!!) but amongst my favourites has to be the Thundercats,The Muppets and all the puppet shows that Gerry Anderson dreamt up.......oops,i didn't watch telly all the time you know.....honest!! LOL
Luv Cuddles xxxxx
P.S. Does anyone remeber a cartoon series about some gargoyles that used to come alive at night time? That was pretty cool aswel!! (saddo now leaving the room!!)
:silly: :high-smile: :silly:
i used to enjoy Tarzan swinging from tree to tree.
Then there was spiderman in his cool costume.
The bionic man was great, I once went to the barbers to get my hair cut like steve austin, but chickened out at the last minute, probably a good thing.
Then into my teens, it had to be Clint Eastwood biggrin
I had a strange infatuation with Bonnie Langford. I think it was the hair colour.

And for similar reasons, I avoided Drooper (Banana Splits again!).
I always wanted to join brave lads of the Trumpton Fire Brigade ...Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew...
My childhood heroes were:
Jon and Ponch from CHiP's
Bodie and Doyle from the Professionals
Sally James from Tiswaz rolleyes

Right from being a little gal my hero was Wolverine!
Jogged my memory with Dan Tanner  Gawd!
Blondie would come a close second though - my first cassette (along with Tommy Steeles greatest hits - didn't have the same effect funnily enough) and I worshipped her!

sport: Trevor Brooking.
TV: 3-2-1, with Dusty Bin. loved seeing the contestants being greedy and ending up with Dusty.
Film: Debra Winger, in a Officer and a Gentleman. A performance and half, in a great film and storyline.

Luke Skywalker
Kenny Dalgleish
Morph
Mine was Mr T in The A Team!!
I think this is an interesting thread (I was actually looking for something else but hey, that's the vaults for you!)
I'm not sure I had 'heroes' as a kid. I adored the whole Kids from Fame thing and really wanted to be that talented and dance on NYC taxis and burst into spontaneous song in the college canteen... but am not sure I would have called them heroes.
