Been to the docs today and saw a poster for a free chlamydia test which might be useful for anyone who might be worried or too embarrassed to visit a clinic. Its an NHS number anyway xxxxxxxxx.
Gill
My Family Planning Clinic has them in a box near the door. You just pick one up on the way out, pee in the pot and post it off! lol
any std test is done for free at any gum clinic they even do smears. my clinic even offers on the spot results (if you show symptoms) so you can start treatment straight away if necessary but also useful if you have any serious doubts about anything
Seems the moderators didn't like me posting the NHS number on the forum so if anyone wants it i'm happy to pass it on. Gill

It would be useful, not to mention good manners, if mods or admin would make it clear that they have edited a post when they do.

Yes it would Unc, but I removed the phone number and then had to quickly log off (visitor arrived) so some of us are human and occassionally make mistakes(actually make them all the time, so I fall down there as well). lol
The reason I removed the phone number was because when I phoned it, it did not take me to an NHS helpline but to someones voicemail, and also because we dont allow any phone numbers to be posted on the site.
So apologies gillandcarl for not letting you know but you can blame my father in law for that!

Point taken NWC, however with respect it's not that unusual an occurrence and I'm sure not every mod's father in law pops in unexpectedly just as they are editing a post :P

Which is the test for where they put a cotton bud down the eye of the penis? or has someone been fibbing to me.
BTW, when I joined a new doctor about 2 yrs ago and gave a blood and urine sample I had to fill out a form saying which 'diseases' they where allowed to test me against and presumable it would have covered them all but they certainly didnt pull out a cotton bud.
