i have a classic car! wait for it !, its a 1978 lada (estate),its only done 35 thousand miles, and is in great nick,i know the history, because its been in my family since new,
and no its not a skip on wheels ,believe me ive heard them all before
Im disgusted with myself.
I once owned a beautiful 1960's oval windowed Beetle (my mates dads old car) which i lovingly restored. Then i swapped it for.............wait for it..............an XR3i ?????????
However I did redeem myself twice, the first time was when my Grandad and I restored one of the first MGB GT Roadsters, god it was beautiful, bright red, loads of chrome etc.....
The second redemption was a Kharman Ghia which i fell in love with watching 'pretty in pink' although thankfully mine wasn't.
If any body has one i am looking for an AC Cobra replica (with V8).
I no longer own a classic but used to restore them, the likes of Porsche 356 Coupe; and a real old Sunbeam Alpine that was to compete in the Monte Carlo Rally; Aston Martin; various MGA's B's and a mini! Had a hand in building a number of AC Cobra replica's namely with huge yank motors in 'em, the odd Rover V8 and 1 Jag V12 (as an apprentice). I then graduated to customising a VW Beetle for kicks before getting bored of it all. Now have a sh*t car!!
Just found this thread. I have a P6 Rover 3500S - does that count?
