Clit Clips v's Clit (hood) Piercing

I really fancy getting a clit piercing done but to be honest, I am terrified of actually having it done. I have read that they are actually a lot less painful than you would imagine and that in most cases, they heal very quickly, but I am still a little unsure so started to do some digging around when I came across a clit clip (or clit clamp). I understand these originated within the BDSM scene but that they are now much more widely used (I had never heard of them, so not sure how widely used they are).
So, a bit of a two-fold request.
Firstly, has anyone had any experience of using a clit clip and if they are as good as the reviews seem to say they are? Allegedly, they make the clitoris much more sensitive and similar to an hood piercing, they cause much more intense, long lasting orgasm, but is this just hype from the people selling them? Can you actually have intercourse with this in place or does it just fly off?
Secondly, anyone who has had a hood piercing, is it painful (scale 1-10 with 10 being do not go there) and what is the average healing time? Also do they increase the intensity of orgasm, or make it happen quicker, or any other advice on having one/not having one done. If I do go down this route, I would only want something small (hate it to get stuck in Mr NWC's teeth) but does the size of the ring/bar make a difference?

I need some reasurance firstly that it wont hurt (too much) and that it does have the effect that I am hoping for. If it isnt as good as I am hoping, then I may as well go for the no-pain option of the clip :lol:

You'd have more pain with a clip.
Piercing cost me around £45 a couple of years ago. Vertical clit hood piercing. Worth every penny. Over in seconds and not nearly as painful as I expected. I had a nipple piercing and I'd never recommend that. I expected to go home after and sit on the sofa with my legs akimbo! Not so... I went and did my shopping, did my housework and had a wank after. Healed fully within 24 hours and I wouldn't swap it for all the tea in china. Get a rattle bar bell and every bus journey... sit above the wheel on the bus!! :wink:

I think they look great ... but they do tend to get in the way when you're trying to concentrate ... and there's always that fear of them falling down your throat if she's "poised" over you :P

MrsE has just had hers done.
Firstly, it didn't hurt as much as she thought - I didn't feel a thing!
Secondly, she reports and I can vouch for this that orgasms are more intense and easier to achieve.
Shame she left it so long!
