Anybody blokes found decent ways to deal with cock pill side effects? Both viagra and Cialis make me feel like I've got a heavy cold. Aching limbs, stuffed up nose, heartburn. I take them to stay hard, rather than to get hard, so take quite a low dose – but even so still get side effects.

I’m not a doctor, but it sounds to me like you shouldn’t be taking them.  Probably best to check in with your GP.

They were initially prescribed by a doctor (Cialis was, anyway) and I had the full run of checks to make sure I'd be OK. These tabs do have know side effects, just as I've described above. I was just wondering if anybody knew tricks to get around them.

hi i take them because i take pills for high blood pressure to help me get hard they do work i get i get a flush and heart beat goes up

At the moment I take ibuprofen for the aches, and one of those all-in-one flu tablets for the congestion, plus my usual ranitidine for the heart burn.

That clears up most symptoms for a while but doesn't get rid of the feeling of heaviness – as if gravity has been turned up a few notches (this is experienced outside of having sex – while I'm fucking it's pretty much all good, if a little achey – but then I am in my 40s!).

Oh and smaller doses are good for my purposes. I take 5mg of Cialis (I buy 20mg tablets and split them).

When my doctor prescribed Sildenafil a few years ago she advised taking a paracetamol with it if i experienced the achey side effects which i did. I Sildenafil followed by a paracetamol 30 minutes later worked for me.

Go back to the doctor that prescribed them and ask for advice, or another qualified healthcare professional such as your GP Practice Nurse or Pharmacist smile

I get similar effects and weather them for what benefits I get from the tablets. I usually try to drink lots of fluids when taking tab and after. Not sure if that reduces the side effects.

When I used to take Sildenafil, I was pretty stuffy as though I had a head cold. After taking a couple of paracetamol, the symptoms disappeared but this usually affected me in the morning. My current diabetes doctor has prescribed a 5mg in the morning nd a 5mg in the evening and I get the same symptoms as previously but just on a smaller scale thankfully.

Taking an antihystimine in the morning should help reduce any symptom of stuffiness, just an over the counter cheap hay-fever tablet would do it, I would recommend speaking to you local pharmacist about side affects with any medication - they know far more about drugs than a gp.

Hi, used to have all those side effects and switched to herbal types and no more headaches, stuffy nose etc plus none of the benefits affected ...hard when required and sometimes for a few days...result.

I know what you mean about the side effects - snuffly bunged up feeling and a slight headache a bit like a mild cold. Don't use them very often but at my age they are certainly worth it when you want a longer session. I think the side effects are worth it for the benefits they provide and as others have said antihistamines help.

I found that with sildenafil so was advised to move to Vardenafil. Still slightly sniffly but does a good job and better for diabetics.
