Tonight on C4 at 9pm.
's what C4 say about this prog. Might be worth a look (for those of us without first hand experience).
Definetly watching that one!! Sounds interesting if anything although from my point of view I dont think my point of view would really count watching it before and after!! Suppose its just one of lifes journeys unique to some people as they have taken it!!
Walk a mile in someone elses shoes maybe give you some real idea eh??
Ohhh, as a tranny, I must watch this lol

No problem. eBay is tranny heaven lol
Uh-oh!
Wait until Judy sees this! I do believe she was at the tranny ball when this guy turned up with the channel 4 crew in tow and declared his representation of the trans community a room full of over a hundred disgruntled trannies. "he doesn't represent me" I recall the comment being made in a rather heated phone conversation.
He is at the extreme end of the trnas world and I have a feeling this documenary is just a plug to get people to buy his crappy art work.
Gem. x -ever the sceptic rolleyes

Nah dont be daft wasnt offended I just meant in general terms! In most cases we havent got a clue unless we experience something first had really ie I could never know what its really like dealing with MS unless I had it myself and vice versa! We all have our different journeys in life in a way its a privellege to get a look into someone elses thoughts, feelings traumas etc!

No woman would go out with pink gloves, a red handbag and green tights - she has no dress sense at all

All I kept thinking is "Jeremy Clarkson in a frock"
And was it just me, or did EVERYONE she spoke to disagree with her? confused - Even the kids at the school! rotflmao

Kat
watched the programme - it was very interesting however i couldnt help but noticethe hot women with blonde curls in the wedding dress :-)
i watched this last night rolleyes
although it wasnt offensive in anyway if i didnt know anything about transvestites this programme would have made me none the wiser.
it was just about his/her point of veiw which isnt bad but just not informative.
ok some of the trannys were less than convincing but they try ands its not fair of people on here to start saying stuff like "jeremy clarkson in a frock".
please keep your piss taking comments to yourself.
there are some females on here that look like bricklayers in frocks so if ya gonna start taking the piss DONT mad :x :x :x :x
after al i tell people how understanding and open the members are on here..........am i wrong confused:

Ahem.......
<professional mode on>
Ah, bollox to the professional mode, its better just to slag people off, hehehehehehehe
<professional mode off>
Everyone she spoke to disagreed with her cos she was talking was I think about one point she made that was factual - I'll be buggered if I remember it now though rolleyes . And what was with the Little Bo Peep outfits, sorry.... but that doesn't help anyone, especially not the public's understanding of transgender issues     .... Oh and the way she slagged off that poor TS - jeeez, I bet she's sorry she even had an opinion     .... And in her vain attempt to make out that TVs are all hetero she forgot the mention the hundreds of years that cross dressing has been a part of the "gay sub-culture" in Britain...... oh and don't get me started about cross-cultural studies
In short.... unenlightening, pitifully scant of facts, oh and laughable.....
Well, I laughed anyway :?
I can't argue with your comments on what I said Satin. However, I think I am justified in claiming that I should be viewed as a person that will always look beyond a persons physical appearance and judge on their attitude and behaviour.
For me, the whole emphasis of the program was about attempting to persuade people, including those being interviewed, that being a TV was the ultimate modern statement of masculinity. Any attempt to present an alternative point of view was argued against. Much like Jeremy Clarkson does with cars.

But it isn't, so the whole thing was bollox.
Now, Jeremy Clarkson is funny. He would have argued the point, should it need arguing, in a much more convincing way, don't you think?
hi..just had to tell you how much i love ur homepgae blue..xxxx if you wanna chat message me? xx

And that needed saying in the middle of a serious thread, why? If I told you to fuck off I would be accused of being rude.... but hey rolleyes
Glad you like the pics but do not hijak serious thread with your nonsense.
Thanks.

I don't think anyone else speaking on the program agreed with him either. Hence the exchange:
"Why are you being defensive?" (or - you know I am right, you just need to admit it)
"I'm being assertive." (or - I am NOT going to let you tell me what to think about myself)

What I found interesting was the concepts offered by the TS concerning masculinity, if his (and I say he because he referred to himself as a man) assessment is correct, then apparently I`m a hell of a lot more masculine than Mars!
That said, I`m actually crap at femininity, and was quite jealous of their ability to acheive that high maintainance look which I personally seem to be incapable of for any length of time. Mars once had a male friend who found me to be quite offensive as a woman.
A good example of this would be last night, when I tried to impress Mars with my new PVC thong.........there was me trying to be all seductive, and I couldn`t fathom why he was falling about laughing.....
The crutch of this mind-blowingly sexy piece of underwear was situated somewhere over my right hip
When I was a young teen, when most of my peer group were beginning to experiment with makeup etc, I took the pressure off of myself by pushing my hair up into a cap and passing myself off as a boy, and when I grew out of that, I adopted an alternative route...some kind of bleako/punk hybrid, so although he may not have represented the TV community very well, in a way, some of what he was saying I could relate to personally.
I loved it when during his `interviews` anything which was said that didn`t fit in with the message he was trying to put across was handled with a thoughful `hmmmm`, and quickly moved on from! :giggle:

That was neat, but he wasn't gonna let it lie, was he?
I agree with the general consensus that this dude was forcing his POV on everyone else and not allowing anyone else to have their say.
well another pratt came on tellie last night to set the trans community back another ten yrs and to talk about transsexuals as trannys going one step further for sexual reasons made me want to dig out the old cattle prod nadia (you either love her or hate her) change my life for the better the difference before big brother and after was amazing the stares i sometimes got followed by whispers sudenly changed to nice smiles from ppl and sorry trannys on here if i offend but thanks to that man in a frock which is labeled tv peed me off, when will these old twats stop showing themselves up on tellie and spoiling it for everyone ive said my piece i think may add more later lol lol
And the twit had the cheek to voice over a sweeping crowd (well, their trainers anyway) shot to the effect that outer signs of feminity were hard to find in modern day life.
I'm all woman thank you! From painted toe-nails to my groomed brows so :rude:
But my feminity is based on a completely different sense of style than his. Thanks for the tips Marilyn Monroe wink I could have looked like him
And then he almost salivates all down his front when he meets Miss Feminity personified in her wedding dress.rotflmao :rotflmao: :rotflmao: The look on his face was priceless :lol2:
What a load of horse-shit.
Oh and Rick...I've still got those panties hun
