I like mocha - it's like hot chocolate with a kick!
I adore coffee. This is my Mecca (or probably that should be 'my Rome' but it don't sound right... confused )
I drink lots of coffee but my preferred brew is just your bog-standard Gold Blend, black no sugar if anyone's offering please! coffee
Not that keen on anything filtered or percolated - I have to add sugar and milk. I quite like McDonalds coffee (with sugar and milk rolleyes )
I couldn't or wouldnt want to live without coffee i love the stuff to distraction. I am a though as I'm addicted to Nescafe coffee's. I love other sorts as well but Nescafe is just so damn reliable whatever mood i'm in.
The french espresso coffee your on about ste is fantastic so bitter it can make you suck your cheeks in but it does set you up rather well for a while after. I woould advise caution as it can stay on your breath a bit though. I like to drink it with a glass of iced water and a slice of lemon altenating between the two. Really nice.
as for the coffee houses and the selection of coffee's produced I once became a bit fanatical over different types of coffee's in different places but have found that there seems to be some sort of a conspiracy where they seem to becoming so alike in flavour that I now prefer to drink straight forward Americano's sometimes adding a little milk.
coffee is known to be a Colonic irritant and in some people that can give them cramp style feelings, I have suffered on ocasion after drinking strong abd large quantities of coffee although it usually is only for a few moments. However the headaches If I don't drink coffee can be excruciating which is kind of concerning but I think hey what the heck I enjoy it so much and it aint illegal.
My best memory of coffee is years ago drinking the most superb mug/glass full in private run/owned coffee house in central Bath blended for me personally . A mix with cinnamon and a hint of ginger so smooth it ran like glory down my throat. So good It almost made me swoon. Sometimes the coffee makes for a private moment in my life biggrin

Lost, I wasn't aware you were such a coffee fan :giggle:
Coffee makes some people ill because it's an irritant. It makes your stomach react. You have to wean yourself onto it biggrin
I was brought up on a flat spoon of Asda cheap powdered, so I used to hate filtered etc. I've worked hard and sacrificed many a Saturday afternoon to training myself to take the stronger brews. :D:D:D:D:D:D
I love proper coffee, made in a steam powered machine by a proper barista (the lass working the machine). I'm fussy to the point that if I see a coffee shop uses one of those machines where you just put the cup under and press the 'latte' button - I leave. That's just vending machine sludge.
I'm not into flavoured coffee since it's mostly scent not flavour - but I'm partial to a drop of Bailey's in mine. It's got to have milk though - can't bear it black.
So - who's making? I really fancy one now :D
coffee
hate the stuff ewwghhhh typhoo please
xx fem xx
Perhaps I should add - I love a nice cup of tea too. It all depends on mood.
I have a smashing brown betty tea-pot and I'm on the look out for a lovely set of cups and saucers to make a change from mugs. But since I'm not into flowers and need more than a key-hole handle to get my finger into, my choices are limited.
Any suggestings would be gratefully appreciated.
Well i must agree a nice cup of tea is nice,
but me with a caffine addiction,i have to say can't get throught the day without a coffe or three or more in the day.
A know i have caffine addiction ,when i go to a coffee shop for coffee i always ask for extra shot of coffee and the reponse i get is "the coffee is strong sir".
And the thought that goes through my head is ..if i didnt want it that strong i wouldnt ask for the extra shot of coffee.
So all hail the mighty cup of tea..
BUT GIVE ME COFFEE NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!! biggrin:D:D:D:D:D:D

One of the more confusing aspects of caffeine content is the fact that coffee contains less caffeine than tea when measured in its dry form. The caffeine content of a prepared cup of coffee is significantly higher than the caffeine content of a prepared cup of tea
So per cup it has less, weight for weight Tea has more lol
I drink my coffee black so I have to limit myself to 4 cups a day or I get tummy ache. My sis is a coffee snob and only uses a cafetierre but there are so many excellent instant coffees around these days.
I love Cafe Noire or Douwe Edbergs but don't you go giving me that Nescafe shit :gagged:

I agree, it is Satan's backwash.
I can't stand coffee, yet open a box of chocolates, and coffee cream is one of the first I go for.
Don't drink coffee. I sometimes drink tea, but only if Nellie is making it! :giggle:

Good job for you I know you are
Coffee!! Evil stuff.
I'm a Tetley's gal and I drink far too much of it.
I'm quite partial to ristretto coffee, difficult to find though.
Im not suposed to drink coffee because it dries my vocal cords out but sometimes I am bad and I drink perculated coffee. Coffee makes me feel sick about an hr after I drink it.
I really do not like coffee at all as i find it gives me such a high even after just one cup that i can`t stay still for 5 seconds, i imagine it is like injecting 20 cans of red bull straight into the blood stream!!
However i do love what we call wobblely coffees which as you all probably know are coffees with some sort of booze in, i personally like mine with Baileys in.
Does anybody else have anything they add to their coffee which is a little different to the norm?
A good coffee is hard to come by in the UK. The bestest place in the whole wide world for espresso is Naples. Not sure how they do it but espressos there are creamy, with a strong yet unbitter flavor, really anyone who likes coffee should go there!
