Water
1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (Likely applies to half of the world population)
2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.
3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.
4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.
5. Lack of water, is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.
8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.
COKE
1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.
3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.
4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.
6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a
sumptuous brown gravy.
8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your
windshield.
For Your Information:
1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. It's pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.
2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous material place cards reserved for Highly corrosive materials.
3. The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!
COKE
1. Highly unlikely, there are much better ways of cleaning up spillls and this wouldn't conform to environmental controls
2. Not true.
4. This does work, but vinegar is better
5. Ditto, but vinegar doesn't leave the battery sticky
6. And again. This vinegar stuff must be really dangerous
8. Wow, yet again, I'm quite scared of my chips now confused
For Your Information:
1. No it won't. Even if it were true, the acid in your stomach would eat through metal in hours, not days
2. Untrue. Any liquid carried in bulk tank has to have a Hazchem label, the one for Coke doesn't note anything dangerous.
Coke vs water it is indeed!! Id much rather have the water!!

Trust no one and don't believe anything that anyone tells you unless his name is Jesus and ask him for his ID by getting him to predict both sets of the six numbers of that weeks lottery for both Wednesday and Saturday and only trust him if both sets of those six numbers are correct. If he does get it right still assume it was a fluke and give him his bus fair back to Bethlehem out of your winnings and thank him before you fluck off to your new home in Spain, or wherever you choose and tell no one where you are going, especially your ex-wife, ex-girlfriend or anyone connected with the inland revenue or Her majesties customs and excise / VAT.
Judy......... a bit of a sceptic

Class baby, class.
Have I told you lately that I love you?
If a few made up statistics make people take care of themselves and drink more water then i'm all for it. Water makes your whole body work better in every conceivable way... to many to list. Often people think they're fat when in fact they just look worse cos their body is retaining water from not drinking enough water and indulging in too much caffeine and alcohol.

It is soooooo hard......I used to have a black car and HAD to polish it every time I washed it because the crud in the water round here left the car looking like a bloody dalmation

It does get tar off the car really well though
If water is so good for you....lets see you order that down the pub next are all very well but if you believed them all we wouldn't eat or drink anything and that goes for water too.
I'd still rather not buy coke in any case!! confused
What about every over cola on the market then?
Just depends on wether they should be help responsible for corporate manslaughter or not!! Look at how many lives this evil fucking company has ruined drying up all the water supply just to make coke!!
If it was a choice of coke and water Id choose water everytime, Id rather the world was without coke than water!!

have you any idea how stupid you sound???? I never thought i'd see the day where someone would question just how good water is for your body.... just goes to show, quite ironically too, that you can take the horse to the water - but you can't make him drink it. rolleyes
If you can drink a pint of water for every pint of beer/lager it does reduce the hangover effect.
Just try it on a night out – drinking water from a sink that someones probably pissed in, all night in the bog and end up wetting the bed – rather have the hangover!
oh!
This really is about Coke and Water !!!! cool confused 8-)

!

If my cousin Billy did this he would probably either burst or drown, he can drink 15 or 16 pints of bitter on a good night out, plus shots.
Bear in mind over hydration can be as bad as dehydration and can kill you. Whatever you like in life is either illegal immoral or fattening and any of those can be fatal in extremes. 10 out of 10 people die from something wink :P
Judy

Long as I dont die from boredom!! Im happy! lol

I do use a water filter because I just cant drink the stuff they pump into my home. However, I find it unacceptable and quite disgraceful when I have to refine something and make it palatable to drink by passing it through very expensive water filters when I have already paid for the stuff in the first place. We just would not accept a container of milk or orange juice that we would then have to put through a process to make it fit to drink. The water that is passed off to us probably wont kill us or even make us very ill but the stuff tastes disgusting and I personally wouldn't drink it or make my coffee with it before passing it through a filter. Where I live it tastes like diluted bleach.
I think the water company that supplies it should supply with us all with the filters free of charge for my filter jug. The problem is we don't have consumer choice here and have no option but to take what we are given. Shocking and disgraceful in this modern day and age. We can build nuclear power stations and spend millions on military defence for Euro-fighter send troops all over the world but we cant produce water that is nice enough to drink from our taps??????????? Something wrong here.
There is a stream that runs quite close to my home and it is well known that the water from it tastes far better than the fluid that comes from my tap. Come on, surely it isn't rocket science to supply me with clean and palatable drinking water after all it isn't a village in Africa its flucking rural Lancashire for heavens sake. Oh it makes me soooooooooo mad when people cant do what they are paid to do.
Judy
I quite agree with you, like all other things they take our money and we get nothing for it.
So
I would like to see chocolate flavoured water or strawberry flavour.
An option that you would have installed into your house.
The turn of a tap or press of a button and presto flavoured water.
(should I apply for a patent omn that idea)
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh !!!
That'll be the beautiful, fresh, wonderful glass of tap water that i get.
Anyone for a cuppa confused:

Coca-Cola? Does anybody really like that shit? It just gives me wind and makes me thirsty, making me drink more water.
As for the quality of the water. Here in SW Scotland it is very soft and delicious.
However I've heard, urban myth it may be, that in the SE of England by the time the water flows from the tap it has already passed through a dozen or so people? Does anybody no if that's true. If it is and I was a Londoner bolt
I don't drink water and neither should you.
Have you thought about what fish do in water?
hump . :hump: . :hump: . :hump: . :hump: . :hump: . :hump: . :hump: . :hump: . :hump: . :hump: . :hump: . :hump: . :hump: . :hump: . :hump: .
Whilst on the whole I agree Judy ..there is something more basic in life than water.
Me lol I make an amoeba look like a seriously sophisticated life form
Warwick thick as two short planks and the intention span of a Goldfish cool
Now what was the question
( oh no did someone mention Goldfish redface )
