I love Jack Dee, just looking at his miserable face brings a smile to mine!! Hes fab xx
I dont see Eddie Izzard in there ANYWHERE!
hey we are sorry we never put more on the wasnt any point of putting shirley ghostman on there (seems im the only person who likes the twat!!!!!)
i think ali was very good in his hayday but he got on me nerves after a while.
Al Murray all the way!!!!!!!!
The Bailiffs a.k.a.-dickndom
Gawd i hate Peter Kay - bout as funny as root canal surgery..now Eddie Izzard is hilarious..why's he not on the list??!
Peter Kay is wonderful, Ricky Gervais was excellent in the Office, but personally I was pretty disappointed by the standup, and as for Jimmy Carr, he's about as funny as having both legs amputated.
i dont suppose n e one will agree but the people are voting and peter kay is in the lead
The bailiffs-aka dickndom
Voted for Peter Kay too, although I prefer others such as Eddie Izzard, and my favourite is political comedians, such as Mark Thomas.
Had to vote for Peter Kay tho, as I managed ticket sales for one of the venues for his first UK tour. It was horrendously busy and we sold out all the nights in a few days (this was before all his tv stuff too....and most staff had never heard of him). He then phoned through to the box office to thanks the staff personally for all their hard work! The only time that ever happened while working in that industry...so he gets my vote for beinga nice guy and funny!
On the other hand.....Steve Coogan (who isn't on the list) while being funny as Alan Partridge etc, is one of the rudest people I ever worked with in the industry!
I Voted for Al Murray as there was no vote for Monty Python, The Goons, Billy Connelly, Ronnie Barker ( porridge & open all hours ) and not forgetttong the late great Eric Morecambe worship :worship:
And what about more of the female comedians such as Victoria Wood and Julie Walters confused: rolleyes
And some of the great american comedians such as Richard Prior and the guy from home improvements?
I know you can't put all those down, but i feel that comedy is such a varied and personal thing ( a bit like sex lol ) that it would be imposible to cater for everyones taste......... sorry for prattling on :notes: ....i will let you all get back to voting bolt

: i can,t stand american comedians mad ( apart from a couple who appear regular on shows ; who,s line is it anyway and IQ ) wink

What, not even the god-like Bill Hicks ? Funniest man who ever lived...if he was still around now, he'd love the fact that George Bush's son is in the White House and started ANOTHER Gulf War !!
I voted for Peter Kay.. because he is my favourite out of your list!
But there are so many BRILLIANT comedians out there...

Blimey! thought I was going to have to be the first one to mention Bill Hicks....
so, getting in 2nd place again... erm Bill Hicks, followed close by Izzard, Mark Thomas for his politics and hate to say it, but Robin Willaims from many years ago.... (before he broke his funy bone on the altar of the film industry....)

You'll be pleased to hear then that Bill Hicks is the polar opposite humour-wise of Chubby Brown
There's a lot of his stuff here
I voted for peter kay too.
He is funny but he hasnt done any fresh or new stuff for about two years now.
The big yin also gets my vote on his day the best there is.
Can't vote for any of those as best. Currently Matt Lucas (Little Britain) or Ricky Gervais (The Office) win hands down.
rotflmao :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
mmm went with Peter Kay, but I do like Victoria Wood, Jasper Carrott and Billy Connellly. Haven't heard of half the ones mentioned in the poll but Ali G IMHO is a p**t rolleyes
This Poll seems a little lop-sided!!!
dickndom, you must be Peter Kaye fans and just wanted him to win your Poll so you put him up against some very 2nd rate competition?!!!
I've never even heard of Shirley Ghostman!!! dunno
But, my claim to fame is I used to know Chubby Brown's sister!!!
Gotya love peter Kay, But whers LEE EVENS sad
Bill Bailly for me every time.
Or mabe Dylan Moran
Both are well funny. Anybody see the series called Blackbooks, or seen their stand up ?
