On logging on tonight i find that we have mail from another cpl, nice i hear you say, well yes it was, a nice simple enuf mail..hello you look like a nice cpl maybe we could meet see if we click type of mail.
They told us we're gonna be at a certain club on a certain night, all well n good until i read more.....
....cant promise a play (as we're quite popular)
now hey i have no problem with the cant promise thingy as we never go out & expect anything it was the we're quite popular comment (maybe they are who knows, not interested in how many peeps you've played with thats ur business)
but it just struck me a kind of arrogance & put me off even attempting to construct any type of reply
would a comment like this put other peeps off or am i just being over sensitive???

Think about it, if they are as popular as they say you are, then they wouldn't need to approach people, so by telling you that, you massage their ego's, and give them all your gratitude, it seems to me they are talking poo, "thanks but no thanks" would be my view on this one.

I've always thought that some couples are so used to getting chased by people (mostly single guys of course) that they start thinking they're doing you a favour by giving you their attention and that you should kiss the ground they walk on because they make themselves available to you.. this remark that put you off sorta proves it really... load of crap, I think moving on is the right thing to do.
