you would gain a property, that must be profiting. paying off the loan can't have anything to do with organising an event? hiring it out to other organisers would also be profiting?

Now this is interested as I have an empty property that I can hold weekly parties at or even hire the property out to those who want to host their own parties. I can post a thread stating weekly private party and charge people to attend. This would pay my loan on the property, rates and maintenance those who I decide attend would be happy as they have a private venue for parties.
It would be non profit making as I would only charge enough to cover my overheads. So who wants to party?

Why don't you try it and then you'll know

Dont have a problem with it as its non profit making until admin change the rules and we are all informed about it.

Now that sh seem to be condoning commercial events i.e. socials held in houses where the hosts charge entry and make a profit, should there be a separate chargeable forum section to post these in. That way sh can profit from it too and drop the prices for membership?
A small fee of perhaps £20 per add... seems reasonable seeing as though if they charge £15 per single guy and £10 per couple £5 for single women, with 8 guys and 5 couples 3 women turning up thats £185 profit... and that means the £20 fee for the add would be a little over 10% of thier profit!

sounds a good idea....or could sh get some venues n hold socials for us....
i think that the last few yrs have been hard for a lot of people....
n when u look at some clubs charging £100 for single guys n cpls free..it s not a place for us as a cpl to go.....as we just the bait....
so i think some r charging to try n pay the bills....
i like socials... its a way to meet a lot of people in one go, n see who u like n get on to catch up with old friends u hav ant seen for a long time.
a social to me is a pub meet, not a private house....maybe go back to a house later..a social is a place for newbies like we was to get to know others without feeling the odd ones out.
when u r new its hard to go to a social , n the first time yr legs shake n u think what shall i forget our first one in a pub, that the host got her bum slaped hard n gave a yell....i sat down very fast just incase..... but she new the person...no we never played....the first time....n the second one we took a guy home with us....perhaps we should have socials...n munchies n perhaps house socials could be called some thing else?
do i make sence ????? but have had a few good times n made lots of friends from socials....even if we never played at them.....
a big thumbs up to admin for putting a peperate section for these sorts of events, saving people putting their names down for something only to find its not what they expected.
still feel that you are missing a trick on a bit of site revenue via charging them for advertising them or having seperate "commercial" profiles charged at a higher membership, but maybe thats a work in progress.
