The law has been changed (or at least is changing) which itimates that a female, who has imbibed alcohol, is not capable of consent.
So you are absolutely correct that it is a minefield. It implies that if you are a guy or a girl and you sleep with a woman or a guy who has had a glass of wine, you potentially have no defence if later, there is regret and compalints involved.
The vid that was posted is a great explanation of what consent is and covers not only sex, but many other facets of life, such as giving someone at work, too much workload because they performed well, the last time a pile of work was dumped on them.
Back to the context of sexual consent, I have always respected what the other person wants and more importantly, what they don't want. Some want it all and others do not. At the same time, the women and couples I have been with have also respected my own boundaries so what I consented to and what they consented to led to some enjoyable nights (and days :twisted
Like everything in life, we need baselines to work from and consent should always be NO means NO, no matter the situation and no matter the person.
