Fargo / midnight express / the doors
"Resevoir Dogs" cooler than "Carlitos way"-never in a milion to see someone put "The Fisher King" in too."Dogma",an excellent film."Bladerunner" is also only thing is though, what constitutes cool? The attitude of a character ?The setting?
I have to say that as far as cool characters go you would have to go a long way to beat Jack Carter in "Get Carter" for sheer naked shotgun in hand unflappability. cool 8-) 8-) 8-)
I'll second the votes for The Matrix, Fight Club, Bladerunner (Directors cut only please) and Pulp Fiction.
I'll add Dark Star, and Oceans Twelve (not as good as Eleven, but not bad!)

Nobody hated the Doors movie more than The Doors themselves! Good for music and eye-candy though.

the doors film is the bollox my dear lol
True, but it`s still good for eye-candy and tunes . I think you have to be under 18 to reallyappreciate it wink
Venusxxx
no i think you have to be rolling stoned wink
lol it might have also helped if they had chosen a lead whose acting ability wasn`t in the same ball-park as Kevin Costner too (did you ever see The Saint?! blink), never mind, least he was pretty.

Amores Perros, a brilliantly crafted movie, three good stories intertwining.
And, I have to say, sooo cool and sooo funny, "Dead men don't wear plaid"!
Heat
Dirty Harry (1st)
Ronin
Golden balls
Horseman on a roof
7th Samurai
How's that confused:
i could go on forever but heres a few of my all time faves the bourne identity and supremacy are my best so far
ronin fargo shattered the fifth element 12 monkeys being john malkovitch face hard boiled mona lisa heat full metal jacket highlander ice age wizzard of oz dune mad max 1 2 3 all the aliens man on fire collatral farrien heit 9/11 predetor labarinth underworld dog soldiers do the right thing leon killing zoe good fellas blue lagoon the crying game prisscilla queen of the desert the violin ..my brain hurts that will do lol
Mine has to be:
Out of Sight!
Notice a few more cropping up that I'd rate as well....
excalibur
ronin
fisher king
blue velvet
Let me add one more into the melting pot that I didn't notice in anyone's list yet - The Draughtsman's Contract.
Oh and for gothic-cool, would Bram Stoker's Dracula and Interview With A Vampire, figure, I wonder?.
bladerunner still tops my list. Like others have said, it depends on how you define cool. A novel, stylistic approach has something to do with it for me. Also, good sci-fi carries an edge for me.
Rita Sue and Bob Too
it has to be resovior dogs
and escape to victory
have not read all the rest from u guys sorry
but if u want cool u need quadrophenia
we are the are the mods..but really we work in shitty jobs..
How about Kill Bill, 1&2, quentin tarintino rocks :P But Pulp Fiction has to be a definite classic!

Don't think so!!!!
The cars are different in the two movies although they're both Mustangs
I just cant remember the name of the movie, it had Sean Penn in it, his father was a villain who had him shot up near the end and Sean Penn gave evidence against him . Madonna did the soundtrack. Thought that was quite good if anyone knows the name of it please let me know.
Pulp Fiction, Samuel l Jackson and John Travolta they dont come any cooler than those characters.
