A quite heated argument developed last night as someone tried to convince me 'Maverick' from Top Gun was the coolest movie character of all time rolleyes
I argued he is an arrogant smarmy shit (takes one to spot one dunno ) and although I love the cheesy 80's ness of the film he shouldn't get in the top 100.
In the end I put forward Leon played by Jean Reno, for his cool weirdness although I'm sure I have missed some that are probably cooler.
Any suggestions??
I'm a fan of Michael Corleone.
Maverick?! FFS.
Blimey, Tom Cruise is the smarmiest creature of all time, he certainly would not be on any of my lists.
I`ve always been a bit of a sucker for the old westerns and John Wayne as Rooster Coburn in the original True Grit has always stood as my favourite.
Lets not forget Marlon Brando in On The Waterfront, he could of been a contender you know.

Damn wish I had thought of that last night; it would have shut my mate the hell up and ended any argument. banghead
Lebowski is a definite trump card, pretty damn good suggestions from all the others too.
No no no, you have it all wrong!!
It has to be Al Pacino in...... well almost anything he's been in, probably as the Devil in Devils Advocate or LC Frank Slade in Scent of a Woman
How about Jules Winnfield (Samuel L Jackson) in Pulp Fiction

Thats my original suggestion!

Drill Instructor: How tall are you private?
Cowboy: Sir! Five foot nine, sir!
Drill Instructor: Five foot nine? I didn't know they stacked shit that high! You tryin' to squeeze an inch in on me somewhere, huh?
Cowboy: Sir! No Sir!
Drill Instructor: Bullshit. It looks to me like the best part of you ran down the crack of your momma's ass and ended up as a brown stain on the mattress! I think you been cheated! Where in the hell are you from anyway, private?
Cowboy: Sir! Texas, Sir!
Drill Instructor: Holy dog shit! Texas? Only steers and queers come from Texas, Private Cowboy. And you don't look much like a steer to me so that kinda narrows it down. Do you suck dicks?
Cowboy: Sir! No Sir!
Drill Instructor: Are you a peter puffer?
Cowboy: Sir! No Sir!
Drill Instructor: I'll bet you're the kinda guy that would fuck a person in the ass and not even have the goddamn common courtesy to give him a reach-around. I'll be watching you.

Well, if he's having a Jeff Bridges fest i can highly recommend Crazy Heart, excellent film with the addition of Maggie Gylenhall being fab and being top quality eye candy :rascal:
For a bit more wolf action, Brotherhood Of the Wolf is good
Now, about those cushions.....
OK, the definitive answer now

He lives in a pineapple under the sea.... lol

I like crazy heart - that's mine, dead man's shoes and far north might get an outing too, We have a rather strange selection
Are you offering your fine services as cushion plumper? :rascal:
Andy Dufresne the only time a banker has been cool.
Oh how we wish real bankers had such principles.
John Mclain in Die Hard. Always love the laid back attitude with the comic tone and cheesy one liners. After killing a bad guy in a broken glass filled room "Nine million terrorists in the world and I gotta kill one with feet smaller than my sister"
Always love Irony, "Come out to the coast, we'll get together, have a few laughs..."
Probably my fave Christmas movie ever lol
Coolest film hero Iceman - X-Men films or Frozone - The Icredibles. Coolest badie Mr Freeze - Batman & Robin
