Copy &amp; Paste??

Hi, Not having a go at the site...think its a great and well put together!!! lol

How is it though when I try to copy and paste anything ie:- A "URL"
The whole of the text on the page highlights and not the text I'm tring to highlight?
Just wondered if anyone else had this problem or maybe I'm doing something wrong :!: :!:

and to prove the point here's a copy and paste i made earlier :

we just press quot then highlight what we need copy and paste from there biggrin

You are correct that it is an issue that was spoken about by Mal (i think) a few months ago, in Internet Explorer you can't highlight a little bit, but in Firefox you can.
But if all you wanted to do was quote I'll take off my pedantic sandals (actually, fuck it, I'll leave them on and wait for some other bastard to take them off biggrin

)

Also on other forums(main pages) you just drag across the word/words right lick copy and bingo, without using quote!!

Well, if you are quoting you can copy just the text you need.
Personally, when posting I tend to write everything out in Word first, then paste it in. This tends to highlight my spelling mistakes.
And if you haven't got Word, then just use Open Office, either for Linux or MS.
Then I tend it read it back again and again, post it, re-read it then, think why the fuck did I say that .................................

Yeah, it was in response to another post about a "bug" i think... There was no real conclusion, but I think its probably to do with IE mis-interpriting the CSS and DIV statements, or buried within all the styles and stuff there is something that is deliberatly locking the selection.
I know there are some things that IE does correctly, and Mac's dont wtih reguard to HTML... as Vix's pointed out some errors on my site that her mac wasnt displaying, but were ok on my PC and were to the standards arbutnobutifbutthenbutdobut's, lol.
Normally HTML pages are concidered to be non-editable text documents, but for some reason this site is rendered as text displayed as graphic as you cannot place the cursor, and the right click imediatly de-selects any selected text not in an edit window.
ok now i've proved i'm a nerd, i'm off to buy some more blank cd's to store my collection of dirty mpegs on, lol.
