I understand this, this year I'm actually thinking of seeking out 'proper' carol services and the such, I want to rekindle the true meaning of Christmas, get all the commercialism out of the way in November and enjoy the true feeling of Christmas with my family and friends.

Only our last birthday is on Xmas Day :shock: the last one before Christmas is mine
on the 19th and so that's when I start my shopping. Unfortunately by that time, most people are into the Christmas spirit and so my birthday is forgotten, can't book restaurants without planning 2 months in advance as all the xmas parties have booked them as well.

i celebrate xmas as soon as december starts even putting decs up the last night of nov so they are up on the 1st dec when son wakes up but keep with traditional practices to
when i was young we never used to put decorations up til xmas eve and they would be down on boxing day to me it never really felt long enough so i make up for that now and turn my house into santas grotto and have loads of them moving things that all the kids love :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: 0nly 50 days 2 hours and 20 odd minutes now ........ :bounce: :bounce:

I have five family birthdays in December with one on Christmas Day so I always start buying early so I don't run out of money! I do think its awful though when some people buy one present for both and its something I would never do
