Couples - where did you meet?

I don't think we've done this before, so if we have shout at me for not searching before I post rolleyes

Inspired just now by Dundeecpl saying they met on the Net on another thread..... I was just thinking where all the couples on the forum met their partners? How many actually did meet on the Net, or through swinging-related activities, or did all that come long after you met?
As always with question, I'll kick it off:
Satin and I met at a martial arts class when we were both scared white belts.... nothing to do with swinging whatsoever.... :shock:

Chris and I met when I went to work in the shop where he was a butcher. I had to change jobs because the manager wouldn't have the same holidays for our honeymoon confused

The swinging came much later, we've been married almost 17 years, been swinging for almost 4 years.

Me and MrsFC met when she was sweet 16, I was in the Army night before going to Northern Ireland.
Sent letters for 2 months before meeting again then apart for another 2 months :cry:
Now married for 23 years this year and finding our true selves on this site lol

We met on the net on a regular dating site.. He'd posted an ad whilst pissed and I was after a shag lol

Found out we livved just a couple of streets away from each other, met and it was love at first sight (everybody say 'aaaaaaahhhh' biggrin

met at school 30 years ago. The two tone suits, Sta press trousers, Brouges, crombie and the overwhelming smell of Brut, were just too much for her weak knees, whilst the giant blue gym knickers she wore that were as thick as a bath towel, complimented the black rubber plimsols so well, I just couldn't stop myself from asking her if she would like to come round my house to listen to my latest 'Top Of The Pops' LP and share a Watneys party seven.

As blue mentioned, Del and i did meet on the net.
It was on a BD/SM site. We met for fucks and fun at the start but after about 6 months we realised that we had fallen in love with each other.
We started swinging more or less from the start.
It has always been part of our relationship and just feels natural to us.

Jon and I met outside a chip shop on a kind of blind date :shock: rotflmao

A friend of mine had arranged a date with a guy but thought he would stand her up, so I went along to keep her company while she waited for him cool

He thought she was going to stand him up, so took along his mate Jon to keep him company and the rest is history :P
My friend and her guy parted their ways a few days later, but Jon and I were married within a few months. This year will be our 24th wedding anniversary!!! :inlove:
Friend is currently on husband number three :shock:

My other half and I met through an old-fashioned newsgroup. A week or so of emails, two weeks of phone calls and then a meet in the Midlands followed.
Seven and a half years on we're still together having triumphed over all sorts of problems, not least of which was a distance of 500 miles! smile

Hornyred and i met at work , we went out for a beer a few times as mates , nothing more ,i had just lost my girlfriend to cancer and was a bit fucked up and she was a tower of strength . She helped me through a very difficult time in my life and after a year or so it just turned into love . So i`d like to say a big thankyou to my fantastic partner for all she`s done for me ,,,i love you biggrin

N and i met at work. I was seeing someone but we split up so i started seeing N instead. I got made redundant after a month so N jacked his job in too and we spent all summer together. When summer ended we both got new jobs and moved in together and got married - that was nearlly 10 years ago.

OOOOOOh what a great topic for us today of all days 'cos today is the 2nd anniversary of the first time we met in real life... I saw this bloke dancing with his internet handle on his t-shirt... so I thought... hmmmmm that has to be GT... so I went over and introduced myself... I'd forgotten something... he flicked my hair... said it was cos I was blonde and then smiled the most gorgeous smile at me... my tum did a flip flop and then I walked away in a bemused state...
We saw each other every month at a dance and became increasingly drawn to each other till we got to June and he asked to meet me for a 'walk and a talk'... where he told me how he felt about me... and I said i felt exactly the same way...
The following June we were married... Life is very good! smile

just got a slap for that......
I first met her when we were 16......we were on an induction course for our first job when we left school.....i thought she was stuck up but she was just shy......well i met her again a year later as we worked in different locations of London as i worked with her sister.......and got introduced properly ........and we have been together since.

I met the Laird at our local cricket club too! We discovered we stayed just round the corner from each other!

we ended up getting married on the cricket pitch one of the cricketers was a vicar so he did the ceremony and our best man was a west indian cricketer :lol:

We first met when I was visiting my friend who lived next door. I was waiting for her to come out of the house and was lent on Mr Naugty's back door having a crafty fag. Fortunately he opened the door and I litterally fell into the house! I was only 15 and fell head over heels (well, he did have a motorbike).
At 16 I left school on the Friday and by Saturday had moved all my stuff into his house, and the rest is just history. I owe him so very much, he put up with me all the way through my 'growing up' stage, supported me through college and gave up his job to look after my grandfather who was dying with Leukemia just so I could carry on with a part time job which gave me the experience I needed to start my career! After a seven year 'trial period' he finally asked me to marry him and then had the cheek to ask the vicar if the marrage came with a guarantee! Cheeky sod had been having it on approval for seven years!
That was over 20 years ago, and now I am just looking forward to the next 20 years!
So it wasnt swinging or internet related, but they do add a little extra sparkle to what is already a great marriage! :inlove:

Well Silk and I met by chance on the ent , and talked and talked , and long before we met she felt like a person id been waiting to meet forever . She was funny , interesting , atrractive and real . She wore her feeling on her sleeve and was transparently open and honest , and before we knew it we were great great friends. When finally we met in person it was a a restaurant in Oxford , and over pasta and red wine we got over both our nerves and talked and talked , and then .....................kissed . Then we knew :-)

Hmmmm Dawn saw this thread and suggested I post on how we met.
omfg is this gonna be a test rolleyes

Ok first time we met I didn't even know about it. Our parents both had caravans and used to punish us both on a regular basis by taking us to fields in the countryside for the whole weekend with nothing to do.
However on this specific weekend, our parents caravan clubs had a joint "rally" and there were loads of competitions to do. This included a volleyball tournament. Doh! like I was gonna notice her.
All I wanted to do was finish the game so I could go and sit in my dads car and talk on the CB radio. (Dawn thought I'd been bad and was being punished - how wrong she was).
A couple of days after the camping weekend, Dawn had found out from friends that we lived only a couple of hundred yards apart. (Going to separare schools didnt help). So one evening I was "hi-jacked" by three of her friends and dragged round to Dawn's house while her parents were out for the night and was told - this is your new girlfriend.
At the time Dawn was 14 and I was 15, so that makes it 22 years ago. (prepares to be hit if wrong). And after 15 years of marriage, and 3 children I am positive that if I had actually made the choice myself, I would have chosen Dawn. So whoever them girlies were that dragged me out one cold January night without a coat.
