I know we've all had a hell of a time dealing with the changes but credit where it's due, they do seem to be listening and the software seems to be getting more stable every day.....even the postcode problem for advertisers is starting to show improvements........the fog of postcodes is miraculously clearing and I can start to see real places!
With a website like this, which means so much to so many in different ways, it's almost impossible to please everyone straight-away, but I can see signs that SH management are listening.....let's keep our fingers crossed the momentum keeps up and we get a site that continues to mean all things to all men ...and women... and TVs, CD,s, bi's, couples...
well for what it's worth i think the site is excellent now.... credit where it's due.. keep up the good work.
It seems to be very fast now, very fast indeed.
The photo ads will see the most increase in speed.
Thanx ............... I thought it was something to do with motorbikes

Well, I will finally start to give the admin team some credit when they sort out the total fuck up of the PM system. I have over 800 previously deleted PM's that have magically re-appeared in my inbox. I either want them all removed for me, or I want the mark all/delete all function back again.
Darwin once said something along the lines of… “it is not the strongest nor the most intelligent of the species which survive, but the ones most adaptable to changeâ€
Whether we can see the need for change or not – change will happen, it is a fact of life.
People may cry that the changes will bring about the death of the community. But a community is not a ‘thing’ which can be taken away by someone else. It dies only if the people within the community no longer relate to the connection, otherwise it continues but evolves and adapts. Just as in the same way some years ago swinging was considered to be a ‘couples’ only scene or lifestyle, organised and arranged through newspapers adverts, personal columns with coded messages and so on - swinging evolved.
There may be people here who no longer relate to this community as they have fulfilled a need elsewhere or even gained new status in an alternative community - so will happily announce the demise of the place they once treasured, as it no longer holds the same value. There may be others who wish to hold on to the nostalgia of a past time – all be it a recent one. The reaction of those within a community has just as great an impact on its survival as those who change the environment.
It is however worth noting that environments naturally change at a slow and subtle pace. Changes of a large scale which come about suddenly are likely to bring about the same reaction as a ‘natural disaster’ or an ‘act of God’.
Disasters and dramatic acts of God cause the native inhabitants to panic and retreat to safety. If the effects on the landscape are too great and the environment can no longer sustain the community, then the community will instinctively act to survive – maybe in pastures new!
So, OK, there has been an earthquake, followed by a flood with a bit of lightening striking here and there. Should we not let the waters subside before we declare whether the soil is infertile or not?

Someone not too many decades ago said computers would never catch on.
There is no point in trying to kiss God's ass - God is an entity, so there is no actual ass to kiss!
