Day 1 of Wintery Weather!!! And Guess What Happens!!

My Dad kindly helped me to deice my car!! It was a sheet of ice!!! I couldnt get the doors open or anything!!
So he poured warm water around the door sill, he had already used about half a can of deicer on the windows...
I get in the car, get engine going... go to use wipers and they have frozen to the windscreen...
So I go to do the sensible thing and squirt the window again... I go to open the door... And its only gone and frozen again!! And the window wouldnt wind down either!
So I ended up beeping the hooter - and he finally appears.. he tried to open the door and it was stuck fast!! as I was running late for work he just cleared my screen and I set off.
20 mins later I arrived at work and thank goodness it had defrosted!! I had image of having to ring for help to get out!!! or having to climb out the window:-D

this morning.
Standing outside with one hand in my coat pocket and trying to scrape the car windows with the other. Ears burning with cold, nose, hands and feet rapidly losing sensation.
Thinking "20 minutes ago I was tucked up in a really cosy bed, duvet up to my ears, Classic FM on the radio - now look at me - WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING OUT HERE?????????".
But frost is way better than rain and blustery winds.

I didn't have any trouble with the car this morning! :smug:
I just stayed in bed and let the wife take care of it! :giggle: bolt

it was very cold at 4am this morning when i was on the way to casualty :sad:
still cold when i set of for work at breakfast time :sad:
felt cold all day long :sad:

Minx and I noted the fog and freezing weather and decided to spend the day in bed.

my day started at running I was cold to my flippin' bones and when I started sweating my fringe froze and started slapping against my forehead.
It got slightly better when I got into the shower.. but then I had to defrost my car. It is good to be alive tho' and it was lovely talking to the Taxi Driver later in the day who was excited at it is his first winter in this country and he was telling me about how cold it is in Romania, I am sure that he will survive winter in this country as he was talking about minus 15 !!!

Although dog walking wellies are a must at the moment unless you wish to clean shoes every night :sad:
