Hi, I'm looking for advice on the best places to use for daytime meets with a friend of mine. We require a room for the day or part of, so are looking for hotels or guest houses that do day time lets in the Midlands, Staffs or Derby area. Any advice or suggestions on locations would be appreciated.

Don't know if you've tried this website, which has what you want - not cheap though.

Hi thanks for the reply. Yes I have tried this one and used it, but as you say not cheap (£69 for 4 hours)but it was worth it!
Looking for something a little less informal perhaps and a bit more reasonably priced if possible.

perhaps travel inn/ lodge or premier inn book for 2 nights well in advance on the £10 or whatever it is a night then you have the day in-between at quite a reasonable price

I like your thinking, that's a canny idea. Book in for 2 nights and use the day in between once you've got the room key.
