Hello..... I was reading The Sun today (well yesterday technically but as I haven't gone to bed yet it's still today!)...anyway, I was reading Dear Deidre and there was a problem titled "Secret Life of Swinger Hubby" It went like this:
Dear Deidre, I've discovered my husband has secretly signed up to a swinging website. I am devastated. We're in our 30's and have been together for 11years. We were happy despite a few ups and downs. That all changed a week ago when I found sexually explicit photo's of him on the computer, plus a chat log to a couple. He says he was planning to meet them for sex and that he's sorry. I'm open minded but it's hard to accept what he's done.
Deidre replies: Your husband needs to know he must be more than just sorry if you are to stay together. He must earn your love and trust all over again. Make sure he reads my leaflet on looking after your relationship and makes positive efforts.
Ok....who was it then?
Seriously though..... just wondered what anyone's thoughts on this are. Would you class it as cheating/adultery? Is swinging in general technically cheating even if you both know what's going on? Anyone else been in the same situation?
Sorry for the long post...... just thought it might make a good - ish topic!

Honestly... those stupid tabloid agony aunts just make me sick... How can they foist their own morals on anyone else?
If Mrs. 'My Hubby is a Swinger' wasn't so wrapped in compelling her man to be something he's not meant to be, she might start thinking about how best to entice him to not need the lure of sex.

I don't know how the Sun can take any sort of sexual moral high ground.
It always amazes me that a comic - sorry news paper- that makes it's living out of lurid headlines and page 3 can then try and slate people who actually enjoy sex.

I think it`s cheating if the other partner doesn`t know, if both partners are agreeable, who is there to cheat?
I`d feel pretty bad if we ended up sleeping with someone who turned out to be cheating on his wife, I wouldn`t want to be a part of that.

In my book he is trying to satisfy his lust for sex. If he was having an affair and giving his heart to another woman it would be different. Most men I know lust for sex with other women but their heart and soul belong to their 's just that in our society it's seem unacceptable that a man can sincerely love a woman and at the same time have a desire to have sex with others.
