Define a BBW!
Personally nope your not a bbw....your just a bw lol......i know im glassed as a bbw cause im a size 20 5"2 and a 40 d so most men and women would say im "large"....i feel it at time but i dont care i was a size 10 5 years ago and i love being who i am now....sod everyone else im happy with what i have i warm all winter :P ....the only bloody thing is the price of clothes.....

the beautiful has nothing to do with your looks really its just a tearm used by men (mostly) who think big IS beautiful, don't mean your pretty 
i would say at 5ft8 and a size 14/16 your not a BBW, but everyones idea is diffarent as you say, i'm a size 18 and far to big for most on here but when i used to go on the BBW sites was told i wasn't big enough to be a BBW

so you go figure :lol: Jane, in my opinion BBW stands for big breasted women, as for the beautiful bit, that's in the eye of the beholder, I have seen women that classed themselves as bbw that were not beautiful, at least not to me and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I think personally BBW means nothing more that over weight, to me its just a 'nice' name thats used as many people don't like the word fat, does not actually mean your beatiful, when someomes says they a BBW we don't honestly expect them to be stunning looking just big.
I think it has become a generic term as well.
I always refer judgement until I meet someone, when they say they are BBW.
Large, small or inbetween, doesn't really matter, it's the person.

As a newbie on here I was wondering what the term meant. I had in my mind from some of the pictures in the adverts that it could be big bouncy woman, perhaps not what a lass might say about herself, then I settled on bubbly big woman, or big bubbly woman.
Can I say that my wife is size 18/20 and I love every fraction of every inch of her and wouldn't want her to lose any weight, if she wanted too, then so be it. I really don't understand why women should be thin/average to be considered beautiful. To me, if a woman would be attractive as a thin person, then I'd still find her attractive as a cuddly female too.

I use "BBW" cos it means any of the above, and being big, i'm obviously a lazy cow (
) and its just easier to type BBW than any of the above, so at least folk know what to expect when they meet me! I dont use it cos I think I'm beautiful etc etc - its for convenience! and really, what you see is what you get - if others dont like fat, that's cool, as with anything on SH, its each to their own, I use "BBW" to say 'dont be expecting a size 10'. But yeah, I agree, I dont like using the word 'fat' either! and NN, I hate the way you keep referring to yourself as 'big' and 'overweight' and 'fat' and 'too big for most people on here' etc etc, cos quite frankly I think you're lovely!

If you think you're beautiful, fine, but why tell anyone else? Do big beautiful women think nobody will know they're beautiful unless they tell us? Or do they think the label will cause us to change our mind if we don't think they're beautiful?

I consider I am overweight but I would never use the label BBW.
In fact I would not use any labels - unless I did so very tongue in cheek.
People will form their own opinions of me when they meet me - either on cam or IRL.
I do not feel the need to do a description or saddle myself with a label.
