I've been browsing the ads today and more and more seem to want to meet people who are "fit"
I am 51yrs old and at 5' 11" and nearly 16 stone I think that middle aged spread has taken it's toll. biggrin
However I enjoy hiking and think nothing of doing 10 to 15 miles a day on the Breacon Beacons(whilst carrying rucsac). I have been up and down Snowden so many times I don't even need a map anymore. I put a tent in the rucsac and can hike 30 miles or more over the weekend. I have also run a marathon and finished and am planning to do so again at the age of 55.
So does this make me the "fit" person you all are looking for :D :D :D
If not whats YOUR definition of "fit"

No you're just like the rest of us old slobs.
From the London Slang Dictionary:
fit - used to describe someone who is sexually attractive and has a well toned body. e.g.. "Look at him/her over there, he's/she's well fit !". A fairly recent 90's term especially used by younger generation.
The word "fit" in my book refers to somebody being attractive, rather than actually, physically fit and capable of running the London Marathon. biggrin
But, then it would be wrong to use it in every instance when describing someone you find attractive. For instance I have had friendships with women who, if I described them as being "fit" would belt me, as they were of the BBW variety. It would be wrong. Other complements would be more appropriate.
II'm 36, fairly slim, muscly, but like beer and the occasional fry up so I haven't got a six-pack. I wouldn't expect a girl to describe me as fit, even if she thinks I'm very attractive. It'd be wrong! lol
well if by fit you mean in looks? ive been with so many so called (beautiful) women over the years, guess what? really fooking ugly on the inside.
ooh a song has just entered my brain..Mr M Manson, beautiful people

I run my last marathon about 40 years ago and after mu bypass my body has scars all over the place.
Oh god I am having a fit.
Does that make me sexually attractive now?
Well I play football once a week, tennis once or twice a week. I go to the gym 3 or preferably 4 times a week and I do a yoga class too.
As such I would say I am fairly fit. smile
However if it relates to the slang usage of the word fit then I wouldn't comment as what one person classifies as fit another wouldn't look twice at. biggrin
Pretty is in the eye of the beholder.

I hope to stay as fit and healthy into ripe old age. It's very admirable when people keep healthy and active and can put many of us wipper snappers to shame.
I go runnig with a man who is in his early forties and he can outrun a whipper snapper 26yr old (who's in fairly good shape himself may I add) like myself with total ease. Just goes to show that 40yrs old aint that old and I don't think being "elderley" starts for many many years after that.
In fact.. I think I might go for a run.
