I sometimes thnk Ive missed out on so much in life...... I would have loved to have seen some of these groups.
I like to go see live music when I can though, we have a good scene here in Bristol if you know where to go for it. Nothing like singing along and shaking ya head till you have headache eh?
xanaisx >>>gone to turn the music up and annoy the neighbours for a change!!
ahh.. Anais.. We feel for you.. Unless you have been to a real rock concert with several thousand other nutters, a waft of strange smelling tobacco in the air and you sweatshirt tightly wound across your chest to try and stop the bass reverberating in your chest cavity...
you haven't lived....
Mind you.. your hearing is probably waaaaay better than ours!!
Still.. nostalgia isn't what it used to be....
I'm the same as Jaymar on this one, I prefer soft rock, the likes of Yes, Asia & Journey, although I was a big Led Zeppelin fan & did see John Bonham in his last gig at Knebworth & I do like Black Sabbath, Ozzy
Cripes.. now you are taking me back!! The first concert that I went to was 'Yes' with Rick Wakeman et al.. as I remember is was rather brilliant!!
(mind you my hearing was better then.....)
Great thread sercher.
About 6 months ago I moved house and was finally able to unbox all my old vinyl that had been in the loft for years.
Been listening to some right classic stuff recently.
A lot of them have been mentioned in this thread by others but see if these names ring any bells and bring back some happy memories!!!

Rush have a new album out in March and will be touring in '07 so hopefully they'll come to Britain. Gotta get to see them!!!
If anyone is organising an SH social to a 'decent' rock concert then please incluse me in a PM 'cos I really need an excuse to re-live my youth, sing my heart out and play some outrageous air guitar!!!
Come on SH.........

Dark... keep us posted, I feel a quick trip back to Blighty coming on..
"Its only Rock n' Roll but I like it"
okie dokie, i'll make a note and pm ya nearer the time
You lot all need to come for a night out with me and I can show you the places that still play all that stuff. I'll be hanging out in the Bowie/glam/new romantic room, though :>
most of these bands are stil knocking around and i saw Saxon with Biff Byford not so long ago. They all look like old man and they are of course, trouble is so do their audience.
