[Judy have you got a problem with me?I find your last posting very offensive and aggressive. As far as i know i am aloved to understand things anyway i want to!! And as far as i know ive never done or said anything to upset you
Have a good night xxx

I think you're being over-sensitive here. I'm in a similar position to you and I think Judy is just pointing out some truisms. He expressed them as opinions but I think they are nearer facts. It's tough but we remote operators have got to accept it - even though we might not like it.
Foxylady you are here, very welcome too and no-one is saying you shouldn't be.

With respect to you RedHot, then why did you post this? dunno
another sensible reply above !!
Its a forum on the internet ! we could all just sit and compliment and agree with each other , with the occasional 'in' thread about cryptic references to a munch or personal meeting .
However if it was like that then youd see the membership completely disapear quite soon . We come here because of the absolutely wonderful exchange of both funny AND serious opinion which is evident .
It really is what makes SH different and worth the visit. There are literally hundreds of forums and swinging sites where you can go for flattery from single fellas after a shag , or meat rack type meeting lists .
Here there are people with brians and opinions and some of them get up your nose and some of them are downright obnoxious and express some nasty and frankly poisonous ideas - but every single time one of em pipes up with some evil shite theres a dozen voices of reason and intellect to slap em down .
Its what makes the forum alive and you know what id rather have six ridiculous posts expressing outrageously nasty opinions and waiting for an interesting response than one more " Were leaving because blank blank whinge" thread.
Missing you already xxxxxxxxxxxx
Being someone who disappeared for 6 months, then came back, I have seen changes in the way the site is used.
I would have to say, on the whole, the changes do NOT suit me. It is not the site I joined, and I hanker after the old days.
However, as a site that is a resource for swingers - it is better.
Why? Because in what I regard as the good old days, SH was the focal point of peoples swinging activities - now it is just one part of peoples larger swinging lives.
It has lost some of the 'family' feel. In my good old days you new everyone, read every post that was made, and replied to most of them.
Now I see people with a thousand posts, and I can't recall ever having read any of them!nI see people chatting to each other, and I have no idea who they are, or what they are chatting about.
I still like it here though.

Edit: Just to make it quite clear - to quote Posh and Becks "fuck I love this site" cool
Dont you think though with any forum thats as busy as this one when you go away even for a couple of weeks lots of new people have appeared. Ive only been here a month or so now but even still regard myself as a newbie!
I think the very fact that the number of regular users joining is a good thing or it that swinging and maybe some older time swinger see is as a kind of private club sort of thing??
I think the fact that the activity on this site is a good thing although I imagine it does also have its bad points much like anything in life! Cant have everything work perfectly there always gonna be flaws somewhere and you really cant please everyone.
If theres nothing on here I want to respond to or doesnt interest me I just dont bother sometimes that could happen for a day, hour, week or even a month.
Maybe its not a good thing that its getting so popular!? Could that be the main problem here!?
I agree with you Fruity.
I've never asked Mark - but I am almostsure he did not create this site just for me. - I just treat it that way. If everyone else does the same, then the atmosphere pretty well sorts itself out.

Thank you, my friend. I wasn't fishing honestly, but it is nice of you to say so. I believe that if people are going they should PM their friends so they can keep in touch but then just quietly go. Having said that I don't really mind people posting if they're leaving and they genuinely want to say ta ta to everybody. It's the whingeing and vituperative parting shots that piss me off.
F**kig 'ell what a rant sorry.
***Edit*** Talk about feeling a right Tw*t!! This was s'posed to be a PM! Too f**king late now. I really don't want to discuss me! ***End/ Edit****
yeah good to see ya back ( did you leave then ?? LOL ) . Although glad to see a decent poster back couldmade the feckin effort with a new avatar :-)

edited by request.............sometimes I'm just too nice
biggrin
This is so F**king embarrasing. My message to MikeNorth was supposed to be a PM. I must've been a bit 'tired and emotional' when I did it. Too late now but I have edited the orginal a little.
I made a big mistake mentioning that I'd left. I really wish for no more references to it because it genuinely goes against my principles.
I will be making no more contributions to this thread. (If I had a knife I'd kill it!)
Oh and on a lighter note (I just can't resist this!!!). Dave - 'You have a PM!!!' lol

Tune, do you want to borrow a knife? Luckily this had slipped to the bottom of page 2 so I dont think anyone will see it now.
Make way for the thread-killer supreme.....there!
Mike.
No Mike, we can't let you sacrifice yourself yet again. lol
Stop ruining my reputation!
lol
Mike.
This has been an interesting thread, with a bit of negativity thrown in!
I joined this foum in the hope of meeting people for friendship & for sex. First came the friendship..... & at last I got a bit of sex confused biggrin . After the Teeside Social I joined the thank-you thread because I thoroughly enjoyed the event, & wanted to share that with the people who were there. I certainly was not setting out to alienate people who are not able to attend munches/socials. Everyone's circumstances are different, so some can manage to attend these events, & others, sadly, can't.
I'm also a firm believer in free speech, along with Fabio, & someone wants to announce that they are leaving, then why shouldn't they. If a thread doesn't interest me or it upsets me, I don't read it. The day has not so far come when I have used the link on the bottom of the Topic Reply Notifications to resign from a thread, but if I need to, I know it is there. I certainly do not start to complain about the existence of a thread. Life is too short, & after all, I have a life outside of SH.
I'm new here and found this thread most interesting. I obviously have no comments about how it used to be, but joining in is a bit of a bumpy ride. Have had some nice people offering advice but also a fair bit of derision, I'm not really that arsed about it and can give a fair account of myself but I do think it will breed more of the same. As a new poster it is far easier to take the piss out of some other hapless newbie than stick your own head above the parapet and so it goes on. I am quite a fan of good natured witty piss taking and have enjoyed the banter but it could be off putting for new and established members who don't like it, and it does happen a lot. Another observation is the single guy wants sex posts I have made have been viewed hundreds of times and generated lots of replies, admittedly most of them indicating that I may be a sad wanker and should put more effort in, but I have seen lengthy posts from single guys drop off the forum in a flash, with little views and being bumped back up by the origional poster whereas my negatively viewed ones sit happily at the top for a couple of days, if people don't like them why don't they let them dissapear?? Can't resist a bit more slating I suspect.
As for RoadKnights parting shot. Can't say I'm really that arsed but I suspect it was harder for him to write than it will be for us to read, it will soon be gone, if only I would just let it die.
If you have read this far then...........
very well done.
Flucking 'ell - I heaved a sigh of relief when this one dropped off Page One. Bloody shock to see it staring me in the face again. So thank you guy4fun and the rest of you luvverly people??!!!! lol
