Diets don't work other than in the short term. Sooner or later most people just put the weight on again after a diet.
Hypnotherapy is the way to go about achieving your optimum body size.
The concept of "losing weight" isn't very helpful if you hope to achieve a fit and healthy figure. Your subconscious will only try to find or replace that which it thinks has been "lost." Or else it will find an unhealthy substitite.
Book a few sessions with a good hypnotherapist and have a great holiday.
Despite trying various diets over the years I have yet to find one that works as well as the 'marmite diet' ....I hate the smell let alone the taste and after making myself sandwiches or toasts with marmite on them, I immediately chuck em in the bin.

Well my wife has just started a new weight loss program and the second rule is DON’T DIET just assess your current food intake and create new eating habits. So you can still eat as much but just change the combination ( Complex carbs instead of simple Carbs) (Chicken or Quorn instead of red meats)
That and regular exercise has worked wonders
The weight loss isn’t drastic but body shape is fantastic lost 3kg in 3 weeks (this is body fat not body tissue) But 2†on waste 1†on each Thigh and size loss in other areas

Alcohol and caffeine are stimulants. The stimulants trick the body into thinking that it does not need regular energy, which arrives in the blood to the parts that need it. So all the energy that is not needed temporarily is stored in the body fat. All very technical.
But most athletes and body builders stick to well regulated diets that cut out excess stimulants, sugars, fats, etc.

my dad recently lost 2 stone in 2 he looks great for it ................ although now he thinks he's even more irresistable to women!! tut!
all he did was stopped drinking so much worthy- he used to drink 14-18 pints per day(at weekends) so he sits in the pub with a ickle bottle of diet coke ! rrrr!
and he eats about 6 pieces of fruit aday lots of fish(of the makeral verity) and he goes golf more for exercise.
i think a good start is to work out where your biggest down fall is ,chocolate etc....... for example if you like your beer why not have a couple of shorts with diet coke in stead of a few pints??
or fruit when you need chocolate - apples are good for this as they are sweet...................

I assume when you say you want to lose weight, you mean you want to lose fat.
As long as you consume fewer calories than you use, you will lose weight.
you can do this 3 ways
1- Reduce the number of calories you consume-Diets :The problem with dieting is when you reduce the number of calories you consume, your body will adjust to that level, stopping your fat loss and also making it much easier to put weight back on.
2- Increase the number of calories you use:
the easy way: you can do this with drugs ( prescription of course), but they all have side effects, some of which can be nasty and many people put the weight back on when they stop taking them.
the hard way: increase the amount of exercise you do, long walks, jogging, swimming, the gym, sports or more and longer sex . this has to be done regularly, the problem with this is keeping the motovation( at least its my problem, to easy just to say I'll do it tomorrow)
3- the best way is a combination of 1 & 2, reduced energy intake and increased energy output.
well thats my advice, go with option 3, its not easy but it will work.
Postie is right. I keep fairly trim because I do physical work. I could lose some more weight but I don't look gross.
