A combination of good clean foods, by that I mean not processed ready meals and shite like that, but good organic fruit and veg and lots of beans and pulses, porridge is excellent to start of the day. Try to drink at least 2 litres of water a day, tea/coffes and pop doesn't count! sad And try to raise your metabolic rate with some cardio type excercise like jogging, skipping or even fast walking ( but you'll need to do loads of that). Even dancing is good for you :happy:
Try to cut out the :cheers: even as a temporary measure, or just as a treat, because you dont want to totally deny yourself of the good things in life :violin: drinkies :smoke: hump

couldnt have put it better myself. if you eat the right foods no processed crap and dont snack. dont touch larger and do some exercise your body will find its natural wheight

Diets don't work other than in the short term. Sooner or later most people just put the weight on again after a diet.
Hypnotherapy is the way to go about achieving your optimum body size.
The concept of "losing weight" isn't very helpful if you hope to achieve a fit and healthy figure. Your subconscious will only try to find or replace that which it thinks has been "lost." Or else it will find an unhealthy substitite.
Book a few sessions with a good hypnotherapist and have a great holiday.
Despite trying various diets over the years I have yet to find one that works as well as the 'marmite diet' ....I hate the smell let alone the taste and after making myself sandwiches or toasts with marmite on them, I immediately chuck em in the bin.

I'm needing to lose a good bit of weight as well, get back down to my humping weight again! The scariest thing is though that the more weight you gain, the smaller your root looks! If that's no incentive to lose the beef, I dunno what is!
My biggest vice is that I'm partial to a cheeky wee lager, not being much of a spirit fan.. But I do have the porridge in the morning, and the light lunch before having a regular meal in the evening.. My biggest problem is that because I work some nights from 6pm to 3am, I'm normally starving when I get home from work, and have been known to grab the odd chicked kebab on the way home.. redface

It's easy, eat when you're hungry and don't eat when you're not...oh and stop driving every where dunno
I'll also take this opportunity to say :rude: to those of you who have commented on my "eating disorder" before. (don't ya just hate it when you hear people talking about you when they believe you can't hear) I eat 'cause my body needs sustanance, there are far more enjoyable things in life than food :twisted:

Most people don't drink nearly enough water as the body needs. Water helps with weight loss because very often people mistake thirst for hunger. And often people suffering with lower back-pain will fail to see that as a sign of dehydration too.

Well my wife has just started a new weight loss program and the second rule is DON’T DIET just assess your current food intake and create new eating habits. So you can still eat as much but just change the combination ( Complex carbs instead of simple Carbs) (Chicken or Quorn instead of red meats)
That and regular exercise has worked wonders
The weight loss isn’t drastic but body shape is fantastic lost 3kg in 3 weeks (this is body fat not body tissue) But 2” on waste 1” on each Thigh and size loss in other areas

Alcohol and caffeine are stimulants. The stimulants trick the body into thinking that it does not need regular energy, which arrives in the blood to the parts that need it. So all the energy that is not needed temporarily is stored in the body fat. All very technical.
But most athletes and body builders stick to well regulated diets that cut out excess stimulants, sugars, fats, etc.

only having 1 cup of coffee a day 1st thing and no tea so made a start !!
my dad recently lost 2 stone in 2 he looks great for it ................ although now he thinks he's even more irresistable to women!! tut!
all he did was stopped drinking so much worthy- he used to drink 14-18 pints per day(at weekends) so he sits in the pub with a ickle bottle of diet coke ! rrrr!
and he eats about 6 pieces of fruit aday lots of fish(of the makeral verity) and he goes golf more for exercise.
i think a good start is to work out where your biggest down fall is ,chocolate etc....... for example if you like your beer why not have a couple of shorts with diet coke in stead of a few pints??
or fruit when you need chocolate - apples are good for this as they are sweet...................

lol im not a stick insect..................... wish i was i have massive love handles mad which i hate with a passion!!!! anybody got tips to get rid of love handles lol........... and i dont think remove half of your hip is a option lol

To get rid of love handles you need to do situps, but twist your upper body when doing them. Other than that you just need lots of exercise as they're a bastard to shift. I'm still trying to get rid of mine after 12 years mad :cry:
Iv lost three stone since the new year and feel lots better for it i did cut out all the crap and just ate good healthy food and did four cardio sessions in the gym evrey week ,but on sundays i ate anything i fancied and drank lots off beer .Istill do this but if i find that i am still loosing wait then i eat a bit more . biggrin
Join the Royal Mail... you hardly ever see a fat postman,,,,, and we sit in the pub all day after work getting pissed on lager...and we eat whatever the hell we want... in fact we probably eat loads more than we should, calorie-wise.... I can easily eat 3 or more Snickers in a day... still not an ounce of lard on me. Bet you all hate me now! lol
Failing becoming a postie --go for a brisk walk, not a stroll.. for at least an hour every day.... good aerobic exercise and easy on anyone unfit and carrying a bit of excess weight.

I assume when you say you want to lose weight, you mean you want to lose fat.
As long as you consume fewer calories than you use, you will lose weight.
you can do this 3 ways
1- Reduce the number of calories you consume-Diets :The problem with dieting is when you reduce the number of calories you consume, your body will adjust to that level, stopping your fat loss and also making it much easier to put weight back on.
2- Increase the number of calories you use:
the easy way: you can do this with drugs ( prescription of course), but they all have side effects, some of which can be nasty and many people put the weight back on when they stop taking them.
the hard way: increase the amount of exercise you do, long walks, jogging, swimming, the gym, sports or more and longer sex . this has to be done regularly, the problem with this is keeping the motovation( at least its my problem, to easy just to say I'll do it tomorrow)
3- the best way is a combination of 1 & 2, reduced energy intake and increased energy output.
well thats my advice, go with option 3, its not easy but it will work.
Postie is right. I keep fairly trim because I do physical work. I could lose some more weight but I don't look gross.
