Hi, I'm relatively new to SW (3 months) and have been lucky enough to be on the guest list for a social in a couple of months time. I read the forum quite regularly and see the mention of "socials" and "munches" but am not sure what the difference is, if any, between them. Could somebody please clarify for me and quickly explain the ettiquette involved so I don't make a complete fool of myself. Thanks in anticipation
Hi Joe!
:welcome: to the forum!
As I understand it, and I may be wrong (someone will correct me if I am! rolleyes ) Munches and Socials are both essentially social events for SH members. However, I believe the difference is that a social may include non-SH folk and/or banned/previous members.
dunno Oh I dunno! To me, the are both chances to have a chat and a flirt and usually a drink and a dance!
Someone help me out here please!?!

This should explain a little if not dunno
The main difference is that a munch has to be open to all, where the organiser of a social can choose who attends, and can, for example, restrict the number of singles in favour of couples. Noladreams is right too.
Hello Joe and welcome to the site and forums...
Im sure you'll have a great time at the social
At socials, you get to socialise.
At Munches, you don't get to munch!
Simple really innit? :smug:
Welcome!
Don't talk!
Eat!
