Two Chinese symbols on my right shoulder, one means woman and the pther means strength/courage. This was got at a difficult itme and was a very personal affirmation, as well as looking nice.
Next will be getting something celtic, not sure what or where yet, I may commision a design as would like something original or may just deisgn my own.
Oh and yes I like them on other people too, but not so keen when they're everywhere.

I've been talking about geting a tat done for at least ten years now, still not entirely certain what I want or where. I'm leaning heavily towards reasonably simple tribal patterns of some variety in black, so it isn't obscured by body hair. I'll probably get a lower leg sleeve, maybe extending on to my foot if I'm feeling brave. If I decide to get more I really need to work out for a bit, as my arms aren't defined enough for the tattoos I want to look good.

It's on my left shoulder, about 5cm and same width wise. Cost about £55 and took about an hour

I'd like to get a tattoo done at some point. Nothing too big though. I don't know exactly what I want (though I do have some ideas) or where on my body to have it done either..... I'm not good at decisions

I love tatts to be honest - thick black tribal on men especially - *thinks THAT tattoo on Clooney in Dusk til Dawn
I like tatts on women too, particularly on hips, thighs and intricate little flowers or something equally feminine on the foot/ankle ....one-offs and and those you just know have a story behind them - I find that really intruiging! I've seen some fantastic artwork done as memorials, or full backpieces that you can just tell have taken hours upon hours to complete - to me, that kind of thing is a proper tattoo...body art so to speak.
I have several myself, but none in the last 5 years or so cos once I start I cant stop! they are very addictive, and expensive!
I've seen my next one though, just have to save up for it, and she's going on my inner thigh :twisted: If you're looking for a tatt, either design your own or wait for one to jump out at you. The one you cant get out your head is the right one for you!
My fave is my spiders web - front cover of Tattoo mag 1996
- i was slimmer when it was first done, and the design /colouring/ shading and position made it look like it's literally handing from my ribcage. (doesnt look like that now though

Well I have several large tattoos, all individual desiggn celtic or japaneese. Some people like tats others do not. A lot of people try to pre judge you when you have them, the usual comments I get are: were you in the forces? have you been to prison
When they actually speak to me they are surprised to find out I am a professional preson graduated in engineeering.
As part of my previous job I used te train junior doctors in a particular subjetc.
One I met years later whilst playing squash and he was now a consultant and he said, "wow you have tatoos" lol I siad So? He replied "but your educated " .
One word of advice, ensure the tattoist is highly regarded and specialises in Japanese style.
