Blimey you just keep chewing on this bone, put it down and lets move onto something else ffs.
Some of these people have been posting in here for years and probably been falling out with each other for years too, its the way of the world, its not all sickly-sweet and candy-like, that would just be boring.
People have different senses of humour and if you are new to the forum and don`t understand them then you might think they are being a tad snippy with you.

Personally, and I can only speak for me, I think the topic is bollox as it has no bearing what I think of the person when debating a thread.
There are many people I have disagreed with, but if I met them in a social setting I would gladly have a pint with them. On the other hand, I have met people socially and got on very well with them yet we'll argue like hell over a thread.

See, amateurman, everyone gets on so well here and there is absolutely NO sniping, digging or bad feeling. The world is such a wonderfull place when there are contrasting attitudes and opinions.

I wouldn’t post on the forum again sorry, I posted a few weeks ago and had two or three in particular that just commented on my subject just to cause problems that in the end the moderator had to stop postings, I appreciate we are all entitled to opinions but I feel there is a minority that come on here just to cause problems !!!!!
Then have the nerve to say it was me and it was only a bit of banter they know that was BOLLOX it was to wind people up and cause a row.
It’s not a problem as it made my mind up not to subscribe to SH when my renewal is due, I don’t need shit like that.

that is roughly what i said in another thred. this forum is being ruined by a few peeple and let us be honest here we all know who THEY are.
the same peeple that have been causing the trouble for the past three yeers or so. no wonder peeple choose not to post and the then few then start crying about it is there sence of humor. i wonder if the pope thred was there with humor in mind or just pure you dig down thew forums enough there are plenty of other examples to. :notes:
the owners need to put those problems to bed and then the forum would be a better place to post in but doing nothing about it is possibly just encouraging or condoning that behaviour
i have been subjected to the same bullying bazza as you and i am a bit confused as to wether it is bullying or troling as i have found many other sites and examples of the same kind of peeple doing the same kinds of things and they are classed as bullys. and we all know that we should not give in to bullys bazza.

I don’t have a problem with forums I think they are great for discussions when they are used in the correct way, and as I said we are all entitled to our opinions again not a problem, but what gets my goat is when the minority come on here to cause a problem, which they do.
My original question was a very straight forward one regarding the gallery, but in the end it turned around from the gallery to personal insults to me, from the said two or three users and yes don’t worry I gave and can give as good as I get, but that is not the point it should have remained a discussion about the gallery, that is why the moderator on the day stopped further post.
Now when I look through other post I find the same said few are doing exactly the same to other users, why can’t they discuss things in the normal manor, they can put across there opinions but they don’t have to be insulting with it, I don’t class that as banter I class that as shear ignorance, the said few people should really grow up and get a life.

seams like great advice there not. how many threds over the yeers have been locked by a few members? look back at how many of those members are still around and you will find the same trouble members stil here whilst many others have left or do not post. work that one out.
many peeple i am sure do care as very good threds get locked and on many ocasions the peeple who go out of there ways to get it locked suceed in doing just that. they may well make the forums go around but it seams in big fat circles i am afraid. :sad:

Giving as good as you get would (on a forum at least) lead to complete chaos and meltdown and is perhaps not the best stance to adopt. The best method has to be to make your point/post and move along...

In my world that's known as banter. It's entirely possible to have a discussion without moaning, without having personal attacks and without breaking the AUP. Choosing to get personal is where it all goes wrong. This is precisely why I'm going to completely ignore the post above this. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even if it is drivel, that's my opinion to which I'm entitled. It doesn't have to descend into chaos. When people talk shite, you either laugh at them (there's a very big difference to laughing with them) or you rip the piss. The defences will go up and that's when the abuse starts. It's all in the tone of the response really since we aren't able to have facial expressions on a forum. There's no need for abuse. Digs happen all the time, example included (and for the avoidance of doubt it is simply an example - untwist your knickers). It's how you respond that's important.

That's what forums do, you cant really change peoples fixed opinions on here. That shouldn't stop you saying when you think they are talking bollocks, just do it without personal attacks or using purposely offensive statements or examples
