So your in the chat rooms, having a blast, enjoying the chat.........
....and then comes the most disgusting whispers you have every read in your life!
How do you handle it?
Ignore them, even though its made you fume?
Whisper back some abuse?
Copy and paste for the room to see?
Put them in their place by public type?
A witty reply?
Leave the room?
Which works best do you think?
confused
lucys post.
I don't get enough disgusting comments.
ohhhh depends on my mood and how disgusting the whisper is.
i sometimes say no whispers ( username) thank you.
if they carry on and its disgusting i will post it in the room, after all been told not to whisper me, breached manners so sod it i will tell the room they want me to do such and such to them.
brave enough to whisper? brave enough to let the room know what your doing.
the ones that really get my goat are the females ( probally guys) whispering uninvited and when i say no whispers they whisper its ok its the female.
NO ITS NOT OK.
xxx fem xx
I would warn them that anymore and there would ba an email going off to the owners of the site with a request that they be removed. Even if the site owners wont do it it should be enough to scare the buggers off.
After all you can be flirty, exciting etc without being disgusting
Copy paste and report them.
I generally reply to whatever they've asked in whisper in the room and then tell them that I'm quite happy chatting in the room.
Funny... it's been happening a lot more lately! rolleyes
Haven't had any really disgusting ones though which is a bit of a shame cause those are the best for sharing! :giggle:
Nothing quite like a bit of "fancy letting me ram my massive hard cock up your ass baby" to get the laughte... ahem horn going of course! wink

Shit... I'm supposed to be setting a good example aren't I?! redface
What Sarah said... yeah... that's what you should do!
just wanted to add, of course there is alway the right time for disgusting comments but that is when everyone is happy to be using them smile

Sorry it wasn’t meant to be funny… it does read like that though  we’ve just always wondered why admin always insist that this site will never allow naming and shaming, which is all fine and dandy, but it happens in chat and is often encouraged in there too.
Its just an observation, People who send whispers without asking deserve all they get, but there’s either a no name and shame policy in place or there’s not

You are absolutely right in what you are saying.
I always chat in room only - if someone whispers me I carry on chatting in main room to them. I'm sure some chatsters think I'm talking to myself though..confused :?
I will never post whispers in main room and don't like to see it done. If someone's been a twit in whisper and I've requested them not to continue on that track and they do, I'd rather copy an paste an send in a report. I know they get dealt with fairly...

I have loads of imaginary chat friends too anais! lol
Good reply though!
It depends on my mood redface A lot of time I ignore, Sometimes I ask them to stop in the open room,
If getting bombarded in a room with no host I usually put "I dont read or answer whispers" in the room
Occasionally I will post a witty reply when I am feeling daft (have to be careful though as I has seen this turn into a witch hunt where other members jump in and a full scale ruction starts) evil
The last time I physically played on cam I got tortured ignoring them didnt work so I replied to all of em saying sometime like "To all the whispering Spielberg's.. Thanks would you like me to make a coffee and become a contortionist while I am on..Yes.. It aint gunna happen so stop whispering or the cam goes off". Needless to say the cam went off mad

I find this one of the most irritating things in a chatroom. In effect, the two people concerned are carrying on a private conversation but subjecting the rest of the chatroom to a disjointed and meaningless one-sided series of statements.
Responding to unwanted whispers in this way surely just encourages the practice.

I don't think it does. In all seriousness, it's not my style to name and shame in the room. I don't believe it solves anything getting people on a bandwagon to pick on one person who has whispered uninvited so I generally just say that I'm happy chatting in the room. If they persist then I say it again and more often than not they get the message. If they don't then the best thing is to find out who the room host is and report it. That's when I think it would be handy to have the hosts name in the title of the room.

Yep  Sure does ... they can say anything they like and they get off on knowing that everybody else in the room can only see one side of the conversation.
I disagree with you... I've not found that at all. depend's on what the replies are doesn't it?? Yes, no etc is a bit of a convo stopper I've found confused :?
