The week after next I am taking 2 weeks off of work to get some DIY projects finished (or started even).
Considering the wide variety of people on this site - I was hoping there would be some mileage in posting the projects and seeing if there are any appropriately skilled volunteers amongst you.
Finish digging the new pond.
Build the new pond – bricklaying.
Build a new TV unit in the living room.
Strip the nasty woodchip paper off of the living room ceiling and either skim/artex.
Strip and repaper the living room.
Fit a new bathroom floor.
Fit a new bathroom suite.
BIGDEWI69 is at a loose end and bored so i volenteer him to do the pond..he needs the exercise !!!
but seriously
wish i was nearer i would have helped
andy
Oy, you haven't finished our house yet lol
If I'm well enough we'll come and help, unless you just want cheer leaders for the workers, in which case count me in. biggrin

The hole digging for the new pond is finished - though rain stopped progress on putting in the footings.
New light fitting is up in the living room.
Units built.
Wall knocked out - that one was not on the original plan
Wall paper stripping has started.
Outstanding tasks:
new bathroom floor
new bathroom suit
skim the livingroom walls
paper the livingroom
paint the livingroom
hang new curtain and pelmet rails
strip and paint two doors in the kitchen
finish laying the footings for the wall around the pond
build the wall around the pond
slab the garden area around the pond
clean up the bloody mess!
